BN Kecut Perut Melihat Kehadiran Puluhan Ribu Penyokong Pakatan Rakyat

Tuesday, 6th November 2012
Kuantan, Pahang

Najib Wajar Menjadi Kecut Melihat Kerjasama Pemimpin-Pemimpin PR

Hujan Renyai Tidak Mematahkan Semangat Penyokong-Penyokong PR

kata Timbalan Presiden PAS, Mohamad Sabu.

Tanda-Tanda Bahawa BN Bakal Kehilangan Kuasa

Lambang Kerjasama Yang Utuh

Com

Iban/dayak Will Shun Pakatan Rakyat If PAS Proceed With HUDUD

Kuching
Friday, 27th August 2010

Stop HUDUD or Lose the Iban/Dayak Supports

Iban/Dayak at the earlier stage of the formation of Malaysia were worried that by joining Malaysia they would be forced to convert to Islam (jadi Melayu) but after assurance was given by their leaders that they would be allowed to continue practice their religion and way of life, only then they agreed to join Malaysia.

What is Hudud to The Iban/Dayak

For the Iban/Dayak Hudud means Islamic rule where night clubs, drinking an alcoholic drink and any sort of social activities are not allowed. They will look at Kelantan state and the Kingdom of Brunei as an example.
Their perception might be wrong but in reality that is what really happen in Kelantan and the Kingdom of Brunei.
In Kelantan where the majority of its populations are Malay, the response from it people so far have been so good. Eventhought PAS (Islamic Party Of Malaysia) in imposing certain social strictures such as single-sex queues in supermarkets; separate public benches for men and women; and limiting entertainment centres to prohibit "salacious behaviour";Proposals to institute punishments such as amputation of limbs for thievery and execution for blasphemy, restrictions or outright bans on the traditional performance of syncretic Malay theatrical forms, such as Wayang Kulit, Makyong, Dikir Barat, and Main Puteri; banish any sculpture that looked like human or animal, modified versions without the traditional references to Hindu dewa–dewi and traditional Malay hantu; restricted public performances by women: Aside from Quran recitals, such performances are completely banned if any men are in the audience, but so far PAS has been able to retain Kelantan from UMNO since year 1990.

Stop Hudud or Iban/Dayak Will Pull-out From PKR

After the deregisteration of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) and the failed registeration of Malaysia Dayak Congress (MDC), most of the partyless young Iban from the urban areas had turned to PKR to fight for their struggles. Since then, effort had been made to spread the party to the rural areas.
But with recent development where PAS pursuing its dream to implement Hudud nationwide if the Pakatan Rakyat (PR)win the election in the 13th GE, this can shun the Iban/Dayak from PR. Without the Iban/Dayak support, the PR dream to chase BN (Barisan Nasional) out of Putra Jaya will not be successfully.
To PAS, if you need the Iban/dayak support the party has to forget about Hudud and to stick to the original PR manifiesto which which promised a more democratic and inclusive society.

Chong Chieng Jen Reminds Wong Soon Koh Don't Lie!

Kuching
Saturday, 29th May 2010

Sentosa State Assemblyman Chong Chieng Jen has hit out at Sibu SUPP chairman Wong Soon Koh for lying to the people in Sarawak.
SUPP chairman Wong Soon KohChong said Wong, who is the 2nd Finance Minister, should stop making excuses for their defeat in the Sibu by-election as BN had failed the people after 47 years.
It was obvious that SUPP is still clueless why BN lost the Sibu by-election, for they have clearly lost touch with the needs and interest of the voters, said Chong, who is also Kuching MP, in a press statement on Wednesday.
In his winding-up speech in the Sarawak State Assembly, Wong made a litany of "baseless and unbelievable accusations" against the DAP and made no attempt to understand the fact that the people of Sibu have had enough of the decades of abuse, cronyism and corruption by the BN state government.
Chong said Wong told the DUN that DAP is now extremely rich for they could fly over hundreds of campaigners to Sibu to assist in the Sibu by-election.

Money, media and machinery

“All DAP campaigners, be they Members of Parliament, state assemblymen or ordinary members, took care of their own expenses without burdening the party. . .and most of them stayed either with party members in Sibu or in low-budget hotels,” he pointed out.

“Unlike Barisan Nasional leaders, we do not fly first class, nor stay at 5-star hotels which are paid for by the federal or state government, under the pretext of carrying out their government duties, despite obviously campaigning for the SUPP candidate.” he added.

Chong said despite having nearly full control over the 3Ms - money, media and machinery - Wong has the cheek to accuse DAP of employing “dirty tactics” to win the Sibu by-election without producing any evidence of foul play while, on the other hand, BN handed out cash liberally to voters in order to entice votes.

Chong said Wong even accused DAP of intimidation tactics to scare voters from voting resulting in the very low turnout of 59.8%.

Power to intimidate

He said Chong "must be joking" as DAP has neither the ability or the power to intimidate, but are instead victims of intimidation and injustice as BN has full control over the Election Commission and the police force.

“What is worse is that Wong Soon Koh is basing his claim on a wrong piece of information provided by the EC that the turnout is only 59.8% when in actual fact, the EC has already corrected this figure to 70% voter turnout, which is higher than the last general elections in 2008,” he said.

He added that Wong should admitted that the BN's defeat in Sibu was caused by the ineffectiveness of SUPP in BN, the oppressive policies of BN and the rampant corruption, nepotism and cronyism of BN.

The denial syndrome that BN has failed the people of Sibu and Sarawak will only result in a bigger loss for BN come the next state elections in Sarawak, he cautioned.

PKR Sarawak Stands On Usage Of Word Allah By Catholic Herald

KUCHING
Malaysian Mirror (Joseph Tawi)
3rd January 2010

Sarawak PKR chairman Baru Bian has cautioned Sarawakians not to take religious freedom for granted as it must be nurtured and protected for it to flourish.
Speaking at a Christmas and a New Year gathering at the Blind Centre here today, he said: “This is because certain people in authority and power still impose hindrances on others by banning the use of certain terminologies and even to the extent of classifying the ‘Alkitab’ as a document prejudicial to national security under Section 22 of the Internal Security Act, which clearly amounts to an infringement of this constitutional right.
“But thank God, we do still have some right thinking people in Malaysia especially in the judiciary who are courageous and bold enough to uphold the provisions of the Federal Constitution”, Baru said.
“The recent judgment granted by the Kuala Lumpur High Court to the Catholic Church by ruling that the Home Ministry’s blanket ban on the use of word ‘Allah’ is illegal is a landmark case for Malaysia.”
High Court Judge Lau Bee Lan, in her recent judgment, stated that the home minister’s order was “illegal, null and void”, adding that the ministry also failed to substantiate any of its claims of threats to national security, which could be caused by the use of the word “Allah” by the Herald.
“We welcome this judgment as a belated Christmas present not only to the Roman Catholic Church but to all peace loving Malaysians who believe in the principles of Rule of the Law and the sanctity and the supremacy of the Federal Constitution...Baru Bian, PKR Sarawak.
Consistent with Pakatan Rakyat's stand

“This judgment is also consistent with Pakatan Rakyat’s stand on this issue. Our leader Anwar Ibrahim at our convention in Kuching on Dec 13 publicly stated in no uncertain term that non-Muslims can use the word ‘Allah’. So did Tok Guru Nik Aziz, the respected PAS spiritual adviser. months earlier,” he said.
Baru declared that there “is no place for religious extremists and religious bigots in this country, as we are a nation of varied religious beliefs and practices.”
He said religious celebrations of all faiths had always been celebrated and respected by all Malaysians before and after independence and the formation of Malaysia.
“This is because religious freedom has been guaranteed as enshrined under Article 11 of our Federal Constitution. For Sabah and Sarawak, the historical Cobbold Commission Report clearly recorded that ‘freedom to profess, practice and propagate any religion’ should be guaranteed.
“Further it was recorded that ‘Sarawak should be a secular state’. This is the reason I believe that today Sarawak remains as such without any official state religion.
“But religious freedom today cannot be taken for granted,” Baru stressed.
Attending the function organised by PKR were residents of the centre, their parents, relatives and officials from the Society for the Blind, Cheshire Home, Salvation Army and the Society for the Deaf and Dumb.

Is Hassan Ali Out From PAKATAN?

KUALA LUMPUR
Saturday, 26 December 2009.

Facing possible party censure for misconduct, Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali (picture) has denied he will leave the state Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government to be an independent lawmaker.
The conservative executive councillor reiterated today that he and PAS will remain in Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim's administration following widespread speculation over his future moves.
"Its not true... That's malicious news to smear my name. I have no such intentions," Hasan told The Malaysian Insider in response to the speculation.
The PAS disciplinary committee is now investigating Hasan, and his more liberal former deputy Khalid Samad, in a raging controversy over statements that disparaged the state government made up of PAS and its allies DAP and PKR.
Party disciplinary chief Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man had said there was a strong case to censure both for misconduct. Hasan, who was formerly with Umno, has been linked to a party faction keen to have an alliance with their political rivals.
But the Gombak Setia assemblyman stressed he would remain in PR which he said needed quality lawmakers who "will not jump to other parties".
Hasan said the PR government should take note of the PAS government in Kelantan that remained in power despite just having a one-seat majority in the state assembly.
"This is the principle of quality that we must also have here. In the past one and a half years running Selangor, we have proven to be a clean government and we must keep it that way," added the state councillor for Islamic affairs.
Rumours of Hasan walking out of the state government came a day after the PAS panel met last Wednesday to probe allegations against him and Khalid, who is Shah Alam MP.
The panel decided to call up both men to explain further but rumours flew that Hasan had been suspended from all party posts for two terms.
Responding to the rumours, Hasan also denied a gathering will be held at the Selangor PAS office in Shah Alam tomorrow for a memorandum to rekindle cooperation with the state Umno.
"There is no such event tomorrow. As the state commissioner, I would know if it happens. No such event," he stressed.
The party organ website Harakah Daily had quoted text messages that the event was to be held and Hasan would receive the memorandum.
"Datanglah beramai-ramai demi kepentingan Melayu... (Please come for the sake of Malay interests...)," Harakah Daily quoted the text message as saying.
The website accused Umno of trying to take advantage of the party's internal problems in Selangor to split its members.
Hasan also reiterated he will cooperate with the disciplinary panel which is setting a date to question him further.
"I am ready to give my full cooperation and testimony to the disciplinary committee. But until now, I haven't received anything from them. I haven't heard anything at all," he said.
The panel has fixed Jan 7 and 9 to question Khalid but said it will arrange another date for Hasan.

Beware Barisan Nasional - 1PAKATAN concept on track

SHAH ALAM
Monday, 21st December 2009

Barisan Nasional Beware..Your Day In Power Is Numbered!

The Pakatan Rakyat political policy, agreed to by the three parties of the alliance at their first convention on Saturday, is on track, said Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. He told reporters here on Monday that he, PAS president Hadi Awang and DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang had already given their word to apply to the Registrar of Societies for formal registration of the coalition.
Anwar, the Permatang Pauh MP and PKR de facto leader, said this when clarifying remarks by Hadi on Sunday that the tripartite electoral pact is not yet ready to be formally registered.
"We have to read his statement in the appropriate context because the decision to register Pakatan Rakyat was in our agreement,” said Anwar, claiming that Hadi meant that the detailed plans to formalise the the coalition had not been agreed to yet and would take time.

Barisan Nasional day in Power is numbered..by then all Corrupted politicians and government servants inclusive the police and MACC will be scrutinised!-Bukittunggal.com
All have agreed to register Pakatan

“All of us, me, Hadi, Kit Siang and the others, have agreed to register the party. But we have to have a strong framework for the policy, which might take time," he said.
Hadi, speaking at a meeting with political bloggers, had reportedly said that Pakatan does not necessarily have to become a single party.
The remarks came a day after the inaugural convention of the coalition, which resolved to have a common political policy to counter the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition in future elections.
Anwar said: “There was a misunderstanding. It is not that it is to be formalised based on preliminary terms of reference and constitution, which have not been resolved.
“So I think there’s no problem with that, because as far as we are concerned, we are committed to register.

Focus first on policy

“What Hadi has said is that because whenever we try to hasten it (the registering process) the ROS will slow it down."
Anwar added that if the ROS wants Pakatan to be registered fast, he would call for a meetin next week.
He conceded, however, that for the time being the Pakatan would concentrate on its policies rather than formalising the coalition.
“We are more concern about the policy issues. That is the priority."

Kit Siang says Pakatan Rakyat losing public confidence

Sunday, 25 October 2009 20:09

KUALA LUMPUR - Veteran lawmaker Lim KIt Siang warned Sunday the opposition alliance was suffering from a "bout of loss of public confidence" after it enjoyed unprecedented success in national polls last year.
The Pakatan Rakyat alliance seized control of a third of seats in parliament in the 2008 elections, dealing the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition its worst results in the half-century it has governed Malaysia.
However, the three parties in the unlikely opposition alliance - the conservative Islamic party PAS, the liberal Democratic Action Party (DAP) and multi-racial Keadilan - have each been hit by infighting since.
Lim Kit Siang, the DAP supremo, urged the alliance to "impose discipline among their leaders" to protect the opposition's image, especially after its defeat in a by-election earlier this month.

"Pakatan Rakyat had been suffering a prolonged and unceasing bout of loss of public confidence... to convince the Malaysian electorate in its credibility, cohesion, integrity and common sense of purpose," he said in a statement.
Lim cited BN's recent Bagan Pinang by-election victory as an example, saying the opposition "cannot take the setback lightly and must not be in denial about its weaknesses and faults".

Trouble brewing in PAS, PKR

BN had lost seven out of eight special votes held since 2008 polls but it ended the opposition winning streak with a thumping victory in the latest vote, although it was criticised for fielding a popular but graft-tainted candidate.
The main Islamic party PAS is dogged by infighting after its spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat called for a special party vote to remove several top party leaders he described as "problematic".
Nik Abdul Aziz, a highly respected figure in PAS, made the proposal over his unhappiness that some of the party leaders were keen on pursuing a pact with Umno, the largest party in ruling BN.
The Keadilan party was also divided after Zaid Ibrahim, a former cabinet minister who quit last September and later joined Keadilan, recently announced his plan to go on a six-month leave from the party.
Zaid reportedly said he did not want to be "distracted by any internal party politics", fuelling speculation on the growing discord within Keadilan, led by former deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim. - AFP

Keputusan Pilihanraya Permatang Pasir - BN Candidate Blamed Chinese For the Defeat

PERMATANG PASIR BY-ELECTION, NAJIB AND MAHYUDDIN CANDIDATE DEFEATED WITH MORE THAN 4000 MARGIN..CONGRATULATIONS PAKATAN RAKYAT!
Permatang Pasir, August 25, 2009.
It was officially announced that PAS candidate defeated BN by 4451 majority. Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Rohaizat Othman today hinted that one of the factors that could have caused his defeat was the “failure of the Chinese community to fulfill their promises of support”, in an indication that the racial rhetoric played and used against their rivals by the ruling coalition may have backfired. Rohaizat lost to PAS Penang commissioner Mohd Salleh Man by a 4,551 majority. The former garnered 5,061 votes while the PAS leader more or less retained their majority, considering the drop in voter turnout compared to the general elections last year, by raking in 9,618 votes. Speaking to a press conference here, Rohaizat revealed that his campaign's observation indicated that the support from the Chinese community here was dissapointing. “I am saddened by the fact that the Chinese community here have failed to fulfill their vows of support. They have failed to understand the concept of development that BN is trying to bring to the people of Permatang Pasir,” said Rohaizat. The Umno man, however, refused to elaborate why he thought Chinese support was not forthcoming, saying that he would leave it to the central leadership to conduct a post-mortem to reveal the reasons. “It's premature for me to give any reasons now,” he added. The Chinese make up 27 per cent of Permatang Pasir's population. BN have engaged in a vigorous attempt to regain much of the non-Malay votes that went to Pakatan Rakyat. BN have tried to depict their election rival PAS as a threat to the Chinese by using sensitive issues like the pig abbatoir closure in Kedah and beer sale issue in Selangor against the Islamist party. Analysts believe BN were making inroads among the Chinese here but efforts to translate them into votes faltered after Rohaizat's disbarment apparently became a deterrent. But as for the Malay votes, Rohaizat said the number of votes gained by both sides showed just a slight difference from that of the general elections outcome. The former Permatang Pasir assemblyman, the late Datuk Mohd Hamdan Abdul Rahman won with a 5,433 majority when he gained 11,004 votes against BN's Ahmad Sahar Shuib who managed to garner 5,571 votes. “So today's result show that as far as Malay support is concerned, it is still very much the same,” he said. BN deputy chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin also thought that, in terms of Malay support, their voting pattern remained the same but claimed the ruling coalition had made slight gains. “Our studies have shown that there is not much difference in voting pattern. There are slight differences but are nominal ones,” he said, adding that the ruling coalition accepted the defeat with an open heart.
CONGRATULATIONS to PAKATAN RAKYAT!

Why Sarawakians Should Vote For Pakatan Rakyat-Zaid outlines blueprint for Pakatan government

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 — Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has offered the public a glimpse of a Pakatan Rakyat (PR) federal government by outlining a common platform that includes an anti-discrimination law, abolishing the ISA and relaxing of legislation like the Sedition Act and press laws.

Zaid, who has been given the job of casting in stone common ground for the disparate alliance criticised for having no shared ideology, said a PR administration would also introduce an economic policy with safety nets and a new education strategy to produce more competitive graduates.
“Pakatan Rakyat must firstly unite all Malaysians. We must revive the dreams of Tunku Abdul Rahman and other independence leaders,” he wrote in a posting on his blog yesterday.
The PR alliance has come under heavy attacks from Umno in particular over its lack of a common platform.
Barisan Nasional’s (BN) lynchpin has taken full advantage of open squabbles between PR partners PKR, PAS and DAP to drive a wedge among the opposition parties.
Umno has also stepped up the rhetoric to paint Malay leaders in PR as traitors in well-worn attacks underscoring the right-wing appeal of the ruling party.
With some PAS leaders beginning to blow hot and cold in their commitment to PR, Zaid appears to be also in a hurry now to set down the opposition’s common platform.
In his blog post yesterday evening, the former Umno minister outlined four main areas for PR’s platform:

• To introduce anti-discrimination laws
• To introduce an economic policy with safety nets to protect the lower income group
• To introduce an education policy that will produce competitive graduates, especially among Malay and Bumiputeras
• To abolish the Internal Security Act and the Printing Presses and Publications Act; to relax provisions which give excessive powers to the government in the Official Secrets Act, the Sedition Act and other legislation; to introduce sweeping reforms to the police, courts and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
“Pakatan must reject the practice of discrimination. This proposal (to introduce an anti-discrimination law) will not affect the special position of Malays under Article 153 of the constitution.
“Do not listen to Umno’s lies. The non-Bumiputeras have never asked for Article 153 to be abolished,” said Zaid.
He said the proposed legislation would ensure non-Malays are not discriminated against, and that Malays are not discriminated against by the non-Bumiputera community. Article 153, he pointed out, would be maintained.
The former minister, who recently joined PKR, said PR should also introduce an economic policy with a safety net in place for the lower-income group.
“We are not a poor country. In fact we should all live in prosperity if we reduce wastage and leakages because of corruption. Pakatan is committed to wiping out graft.”
PR’s education policy, he said, would also be aimed at making Malay and Bumiputera graduates in particular more competitive by revamp the system to ensure quality teachers and identification of key subjects for improvement.
Another key area Zaid identified for reform if PR came to power was to curb what he said was excessive powers that had been given to government institutions.
“A Pakatan Rakyat government must be free and not instil fear in the public. It must have an open attitude and accept criticisms. This can only be done by establishing a free and democratic government,” he said.
He singled out the ISA and the Printing Presses and Publications Act for abolition.
Other laws like the Sedition Act and the Official Secrets Act would also have their provisions relaxed in a PR administration, he said.
Zaid said widespread reforms were also necessary for the judiciary, police and MACC.
“I believe that when Pakatan Rakyat agrees with these basic aims, the confidence of the public will increase. It will ensure the leaders are busy with these aims and have no time to argue over trivial matters,” he said.
Zaid said that if PR were to concentrate on such a common platform, the public would no longer perceive the alliance as just an “anti-ISA party” but as a coalition with substance.

Dayak Leaders Can Fool The Dayak But Not PAKATAN RAKYAT

Dayak leaders need to accept the fact that they cannot fool their own people as Pakatan Rakyat are watching them. Their latest blunder was highlighted by Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng. Lim Guang E ng during his visit to Sarawak suggested for the formation of Dayak Endowment Board (DEB) to help the marginalised and the poor Iban-Dayak. According to Lim, with the board in place, the government would not only be helping in terms of money, but also opportunities.
“I’m just saying that we want to help those who have been marginalised. So I do not see what is wrong in helping them. Are we going to allow them to continue to be marginalised?” he said to The Borneo Post during a DAP gathering called “A Night With Guan Eng” at Batu Kawa here on Thursday.
His proposal with DEB has been wrongly intrepated by majority (if not all) of the Iban-Dayak leaders from Barisan Nasional. They did not want to accept the fact that Iban-dayak are being marginalised and amongst the poorest in Malaysia. Some of them even went on and dared Lim Guan Eng to visit the longhouses.
YB Snowdan Lawan, the State Assemblyman ( YB) for N25 Balai Ringin (where Bukit Tunggal is located) disagreed with Lim opinion, and said that the households in his constituency earned a monthly income of RM500 or more (less than 25% where as another 75% under poverty).
“I know my area very well. Many of the children are working overseas earning RM10,000 or RM15,000 per month. I do not think it is true that rural families earn RM200 or less a month. At least, not in my constituency, otherwise they will not be able to have a car or a van to transport their crops to the market,” .
Reported in Borneo Post yesterday, Friday, 31st July 2009.
YB Snowdan Lawan should cut the crap and wake up from your sleep and Stop dreaming. I dare you if you can proof to me that 5% (just 5%) the people from the longhouses in your contituecy can afford to buy Kanchil or van as claimed by you, I will sacrifice by closing this blog, and if that is not enough, I'll throw my vote to you forever.
When I read this YB statement in Borneo Post yesterday, I laughed. How could, a YB of the most poorest contituency in Sarawak dared Lim Guang Eng , a Chief Minister of one of the richest state in Malaysia to visit the longhouses in his contituency. Was it a joke ? To YB Snowdan, do you want me to take the photograph of some of the longhouses in your constituency like Sg. Tenggang, Aping, Dadak, Abok, Empaling, Tekuyong, Ubah, Isu..etc, and put them here in my blog so that the whole world know that you lied to them?
I would like to remind you to STOP using the size of Sarawak as an excuse for not developing the Iban-Dayak. You and your band of f*cking Iban-Dayak leaders in BN have been cheated by Taib Mahmud to use this excuse agains your own people.
We all knew that all of the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN are not clever, but please do not show to the whole world that you all (the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN) are stupid.....
Instead of asking Lim Guang Eng to visit the longhouses, you and the rest of your STUPID and F*CKING Iban-Dayak leaders in BN, should organise a working visit to the two States under Pakatan Rakyat rules , Selangor and Penang. See the developments in the kampong there with your own eyes. Came back from there, and if you are not happy with the development of the longhouses in your contituencies , send a petition to Tok Uban and Alantuya lover request for more development for Iban-Dayak areas.
All the F*cking Iban-Dayak Politicians in Barisan Nasional must now realised that the era where the leader can bluff the voters in the longhouses has past......Please be careful with what you said in the future...

Conspiracy By Najib and BN to End Anwar Political Career-Supporters Will Go to the Street on Wednesday, 15 Jul 2009

DSAI Supporters believe that court case against him is part of PM Najib Agenda to end his career. MALAYSIA'S opposition said it will mount a rally of thousands of black-clad supporters on Wednesday outside the court where leader Anwar Ibrahim is to go on trial for sodomy. Shamsul Iskandar Mohammad Akin, youth chief of Mr Anwar's Keadilan party, said he was aiming to gather 5,000 supporters for a march to the court complex, despite warnings from the government against creating a disturbance. 'We want to have a gathering to show our support for Anwar and to tell the world that these allegations made against him are false and baseless,' he told AFP on Tuesday. 'The government is attacking him because they do not want to see his reform agenda for Malaysia to succeed,' he said. Mr Anwar, a former deputy premier who was sacked and jailed on separate sodomy and corruption charges a decade ago, has rejected the new allegations made by a former aide as a conspiracy to derail his plan to topple the government. In 2004 the earlier sodomy conviction was overturned, allowing Mr Anwar to go free after six years in jail and build an opposition alliance which won a third of parliamentary seats last year in an unprecedented performance. 'Many of the people who were responsible for what happened to Anwar in 1998 are still in power and are involved in this case and are carrying out their vendetta against him,' Mr Shamsul said. Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has reportedly warned protesters not to create a disturbance at the Kuala Lumpur court complex where the trial will open on Wednesday. 'If they create chaos and go against the law (to) disrupt security and the judiciary, the authorities will certainly react,' he said according to news website Malaysiakini. Police were tight-lipped on the number of personnel to be deployed at the court, and whether they would draft in the riot police and water cannon which have been deployed at other politically sensitive trials. 'As long as things are peaceful, there should be no issue,' deputy national police chief Ismail Omar told AFP. 'We are prepared for the situation,' he said, declining to elaborate on the size of the police presence. However, other officials said police would begin deploying around the building before dawn on Wednesday, and that roadblocks would be set up around the complex. -- AFP

The Truth Prevails – Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin is The Real Menteri Besar of Perak ( Third coup d’état By BN That Failed )

About 40 years ago, BN (UMNO) succeeded in overthrown Datuk Ningkan the first Chief Minister of Sarawak from his position. Then in 1994, by mean of “dirty politics” and corruption, PBS the Kadazan based party was removed from power.
Last February, using the same way, they overthrown Pakatan Rakyat from it power in Perak. But this time with the support of majority of the population of Perak, Pakatan Rakyat fought back. BN uses whatever resources that it has, be it the Police, the palace and all government machineries but Pakatan Rakyat never gave up. This morning their effort started to bear fruits as the High Court recognised Datuk Seri Nizar as Perak's legitimate Menteri Besar.
Judge Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim said in his ruling that Pakatan Rakyat’s Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin is the real mentri besar of Perak , and the only way the mentri besar can be removed is through a vote of no-confidence that must be taken in the state legislative assembly. “Once a mentri besar is appointed, he is answerable only to the assembly,” he told the court, noting both political factions, PR and Barisan Nasional (BN) each had an equal number of 28 seats in the Perak State Assembly.
“Therefore, based on democratic practice, any measure of loss of confidence in the mentri besar of Perak leadership should be taken by vote of no-confidence against him on the floor of the state legislative assembly. Only in this manner can the mentri besar be forced to resign,” he added. The judge noted that the provisions under Article 16 of the Perak Constitution – specifically under Articles 16(2) and 16(6) respectively – dealing with the ruler’s royal right to appoint an MB and to dissolve or not to dissolve the assembly were “plain and obvious” and did not give the ruler any right to sack the MB.
Justice Abdul Aziz pointed out that because of the “lacuna” (Latin for “loophole”) in the law, the court could not read it to mean something that did not exist. He added that the only way to correct the loophole was for the law to be amended. He also noted Nizar was not challenging the Sultan’s royal rights as a constitutional monarch but was suing Zambry for usurping his post as MB when he had not quit or been dismissed by the assembly.
Turning his attention to Zambry, the respondent in the lawsuit, the judge explained there had been a clear way out. “If the respondent’s claim in this case is truly undeniable, that he has 31 majority, after the three ADUN expressed support, commanded the confidence of the majority and His Royal Highness had refused to consent to the request of the applicant to dissolve the assembly, why the BN did not request His Royal Highness to summon the assembly for a special sitting so that a motion of no-confidence can be made to pass against the applicant?” quizzed Justice Abdul Aziz.
“That would have been in accordance with the democratic process,” he highlighted. The High Court also rejected an oral appeal from Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir to suspend the declaration as he was planning to file an appeal with the Court of Appeal in Putrajaya.
But Justice Abdul Aziz told Zambry’s chief counsel Datuk Cecil Abraham he could still make a written application to the High Court after checking with the authorities.Nizar’s chief counsel Sulaiman Abdullah explained to reporters later that if the High Court had granted Zambry’s request for a stay of the declaration, Nizar would not be able to immediately seek an audience with the Sultan and as the lawful MB ask for a dissolution of the assembly. Nizar, who attended the court hearing today, looked stunned when he heard the judge decide in his favour.
He was immediately engulfed in hugs and congratulatory handshakes from his wife Fatimah Taat and peers from the three-party PR alliance, including Pas election director Datuk Mustafa Ali, PKR’s vice-president Azmin Ali and Perak DAP chief Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham. Speaking to reporters after disentangling himself from the multiple arms around his neck, Nizar said he was going to seek an audience with the Perak sultan and ask for the assembly to be dissolved, paving the way for fresh statewide elections.
“I’ll be approaching the palace for dissolution almost immediately on arrival to Ipoh. I will seek an audience with Tuanku,” he said. But Nga Kor King of the DAP believes Sultan Azlan Shah is now in the United States. He told The Malaysian Insider the Perak PR alliance will hold a meeting tonight to discuss the next step while waiting for an audience with the ruler. “We must give the Sultan time,” he stressed. Meanwhile, Bernama reported that the police have warned the public not to gather near the state secretariat here to prevent any untoward incident. Perak police chief Datuk Zulkefli Abdulah said police would take action against those who defied the order.
The police, including the Federal Reserve Unit, have been stationed at the building, he said when contacted today, and insisted that the situation was under control. Pakatan Rakyat must not be carried over by the judge decision. Even with this high Court ruling, it does not mean that datuk Seri Nizar can dissolve the assembly. One must remember that the Speaker V. Sivakumar has been removed from his position and replaced by BN nominated speaker. With this, BN still can call for Vote of no confidence against Nizar therefore removed him from office. It seem that the High Court decision this morning looked like a pre-planned decision.
Let’s move on and see the latest development in Perak.

Power Struggle In Perak - Democracy Vs Abuse Of Power

Victory through the most dirtiest way in Malaysia Politic.
Pakatan took over Perak from BN in March 2008 through a democratic way but 9 months later they were forced to handover Perak to BN through the most dirtiest (as far as I ever knew) way in Malaysia politic. Using Police, MACC and Pxlxce, BN lead by then DPM Najib wrest Perak and force its legal MB to step down. While the saga was still far from over, this morning ,Pakatan Speaker V. Sivakumar was removed from his seat by force with the help of government agents the police.

"The Situation Inside Perak DUN -Look like circus"
As usual using excessive force , the Police, backed by water cannon, deployed barbed wire around the state legislature in Ipoh, the capital of Perak state in northwestern Malaysia, while it held its first session since the state government was ousted.
Police stopped PAKATAN supporters from entering the building and cleared a 500-metre exclusion zone. They detained anyone wearing black, the colour chosen by the opposition to protest against the ruling coalition's cease of power.
Perak is the focal point of tensions between the opposition and the National Front government that has ruled Malaysia for 51 years following the takeover of the state government in a move orchestrated by Mr Najib Razak, the country's new prime minister.

Is this the way how the DUN Speaker should be treated ? In February, Mr Najib convinced three opposition lawmakers to sit as independents, a move that deprived the People's Alliance of its majority in the state, one of five ruled by the opposition. On Thursday, the National Front succeeded in ousting the speaker of the assembly and installing its own person in the post, effectively taking over the legislature, which was then officially opened by the son of the Sultan of Perak. The former speaker was pulled from the building by police after scuffles and arguments inside the assembly. The PAKATAN had wanted new elections, which were resisted by Barisan Nasional that has lost four out of five state and parliamentary by-elections since a March 2008 general election. A spokesman for Malaysia's Islamist party said that 65 had been arrested, including five MPs, although police would not confirm the figure. 'We are willing to lose in an election but not to be treated like this,' Salahuddin Ayub, an MP for the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party, told reporters before he was arrested.

Inhuman action by a group of men believed to be of Malaysian Police to the elect-DUN Speaker.

Being the member of PAKATAN sympatizer , I strongly condemn BARISAN NASIONAL for employing dirty politic to wrest Perak from PAKATAN. They used the same tactic in Batang Ai during the just concluded by-election. The police should stop from being the agent for BN government. They should remain positive just like the approach taken by the Malaysian Armed Forces. As for the palace, Sultan of Perak is one of the most intelligence Sultan in the history of Malay Sultanate , I believed that his royal highness will act neutral without being seen or showing his support to any of the coalition be it BN or PAKATAN..DAULAT TUANKU !

As for PM Najib, be a getleman, dissolve Perak's DUN and call for fresh election, let's the rakyat determine who their government is . As for PAKATAN in PERAK...Keep the fighting Spirit on , and...

Perak Crisis Continues

From The Stars
By CHRISTINA KOH
IPOH: Perak Speaker V. Sivakumar has again suspended State Assembly secretary Abdullah Antong Sabri, this time for issuing notices to convene a sitting on May 7 without his knowledge. Last month, Sivakumar suspended Abdullah for failing to act impartially over the calling of an emergency sitting on March 3. Sivakumar said the notices signed by Abdullah were sent to assemblymen on Friday despite the previous suspension. “Don’t you think it is necessary to consult the Speaker first? Who is the head of the House? It is embarrassing because I was the last person to know. “He didn’t consult me at all and as far as I know, I did not hear anything from the palace,” he told a press conference at his office at the state assembly building here yesterday. Saying he would seek an audience with the palace to clarify the matter, Sivakumar said he believed it was another ploy to belittle and insult the assembly. Asked if he would agree to the sitting if the palace had been consulted, Sivakumar said: “Of course, I would. If everything is in order, I will act accordingly. But until then, I have to have it clarified.” To a question, Sivakumar said that even if someone from the Mentri Besar’s office had obtained permission, the protocol would be to inform the Speaker first. Meanwhile, State Secretary Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Hashim said Sivakumar has no authority to suspend Abdullah. He said Sivakumar’s position “is only that of an administrative and diplomatic officer with a M52 grade.” “Only the government of the day has the authority to suspend the (assembly) secretary,” he said. As such, Dr Abdul Rahman said, only certain personnel, including he and the mentri besar, acting on behalf of the state government could suspend Abdullah. Assembly regulations require that it be convened within six months of the last session. The last day for that would be May 13. Read more here

Flashflood In Greenwood Park-Behind Open University Malaysia Regional Campus Sarawak

Flashflood occurred again in Greenwood Park. According to one of the house owner whose house was badly affected by the flood, this evening flashflood is not the first one that had occurred in the housing estate. Few complaints had been made to Majlis Kota Samarahan but fall on deaf ears and no action had been taken by the council so far. When asked about the response from both the members of MP and DUN for P197 Kota Samarahan and N15 Muara Tuang about their complaints , another house owner said that both nephew and uncle (Who are also Tok Uban son and brother) never bother to visit them or responding to their plights.
For Tok Uban, Sarawak is his Kingdom, he can do whatever he wanted to do. Just look at the member of MP and DUN for Kota Samarahan and Muara Tuang..both conquered by his family members.
Next election we must make sure that out Constituencies, both Parliament and DUN do not fall to Tok Uban kingdom by VOTE for PKR...
