Being the ex-serviceman myself, I warn the member of Association of Malay Military Veterans’ Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan to stay neutral and not to siding any political party. Based on the action of this association, they are not fit to use the word veteran. They should join UMNO and fight with UMNO.
Why there must be a veteran association based on race or religion? Is there any motive behind it. Since the Utusan Malaysia report on apostasy in Selangor, the Association of Malay Military Veterans’ Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan has been seen very vocal in condemning the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC). Whether they aware that their actions could jeorpardise the comradeship spirit among the Muslim and Non-Muslim soldiers that were still serving the Armed-Forces this group just don't care about it.
Mohd Ali Baharom the association chief (frankly speaking I never heard such a coward name while still serving in the Armed Forces) should be stripped off whatever title that he had from the service for using the Veteran name for his political gain.
I am not supporting the communist, but I am condemning anyone who condemns Mat Sabu without knowing head and tail or merely from the information that they obtained from UMNO racist newspaper Utusan Malaysia. As far as I knew, YB Mat Sabu had never mentioned that he supported the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM). It was Utusan Malaysia that exaggerated the matter.
Same warning also directed to Persatuan Bekas Polis Sarawak (PBPS). The association and its President Wan Junaidi who is also the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB ) assemblyman had so far seen very vocal in condemning YB Mat Sabu. The members of the association have been used by Wan Junaidi to condemn YB Mat Sabu for political reason. If I have any chance to meet any of the association members, I will ask them the reason why they condemn YB Mat Sabu. I am not surprised they have no answer to offer except for just follow their President instruction!
Lastly I would like to remind all the ex-servicemen to refrain from making any statement which can drag the association into political crisis or being used by the politicians.
