Barisan Nasional Sarawak Politic Of Development Exposed!

Kuching, Thursday, August 06, 2009.
Despite the fact that we own the most expensive and the biggest State Assembly Building in Malaysia but we cannot afford to provide the basic and most important needs for our people: the H1N1 Test Equipment.
In World Health Organization ( WHO) website on H1N1, one will realize how scary is the Novel H1N1 influenza . It is a new virus therefore human body is not immuned against it. And if WHO or Ministry of Health (MOH) failed to mitigate the virus,i.e create H1N1 Vaccine, the fatality in Malaysia due to the virus can reach 5000 to 2.7 million people. If that is not enough, Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) is currently not equipped to conduct tests for the Influenza A (H1N1) virus. And the worst still, the upgrading of the laboratory facilities were being planned and funds had been requested. So for the meantime samples were only taken for admitted cases or cases which had complications. The samples will be sent to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and the results will be only available in two to three days. If one read about Tamiflu, the only antibiotic that can fight swine flu, the effective time for Tamiflu to fight the virus is within 48 hours. The first fatality of H1N1 in Sarawak whereby a young mother succumbed to Influenza A (H1N1) on morning of 3rd August 2009, eshe was only diagnosed with H1N1 during the post mortem. The young mother might be still alive today if SGH have the equitment to conduct H1N1 test. Another point that all Sarawakians must consider is about the starvation amongst the Penans. For those who are familiar with “Jejak Kasih” a documentary about Malaysian that live under poverty which aired by TV3, one will find that even though some Malaysians are lived under poverty, but none come to the extend of living without food or starving. But this happened in Sarawak, the state that runs by Barisan Nasional which slogan is “Politic of Development”. Recently PM Najib announced that Sarawak will be allocated another RM1 billion for the development in Sarawak. For people in Kapit, Sri Aman, Sebuyau, Saratok (eventhough your “yang dikasihi Jabu” is closed to Tok Uban) you don’t dream to benefit from the fund as 80%-90%) (if not all will be diverted to Mukah). Well…..the choice lies with us all. If we still want to be marginalized by Tok Uban, choose Barisan Nasional but if we want to live comfortably as a Malaysian and fairly treated regardless of our race and religion , Choose Keadilan Rakyat.
