Snowdan Lawan Punishes Two Village Heads For Failure To Persuade Their Anembiaks to Vote For Him

Snowdan Lawan uses 1Malaysia Netbook to punish all the village heads (Tuan Rumah) that failed to influence their people to vote for him during the just concluded Sarawak State Election.

Netbook 1Malaysia is a bait for BN to fish for votes from the TRs in Sarawak!

Last week on a first day of Gawai Dayak festival, my uncle who was also the village head (TR) of one of the longhouse under N25-Balai Ringin, showed me the 1Malaysia netbook which was according to him given by YB Snowdan Lawan. At that time I thought all the TRs were given with one.

Yesterday, one again  I went back to Kampong Empaling to visit my mother. Not long after I reached home, at about 10.00PM one of the TR from Kampong Isu came our house. For the benefit of the readers of Bukittunggal.com, Kampong Isu is one of the longhouse under N25-Balai Ringin where Snowdan Lawan lost miserably during the state election and is also the longhouse where Dan Giang one of the candidate that stood against Snowdan Lawan. To cut the story short, while we were having black coffee this TR informed me that he was not very happy with YB Snowdan Lawan and felt humiliated as he was not given with the 1Malaysia Netbook. According to him another TR that was not issued with 1Malaysia netbook due to the same reason was a TR from Kampong Gayau which is located not far from Kampong Isu.

MACC must look into this problem seriously. The netbook was supposed to be given to all those eligible in this case the longhouse Chiefs or TR. The monies for these netbooks came from tax payers and not from Snowdan lawan or his father Donald Lawan. The laptop should not be used as bait for BN to fishing for Votes especially from the TRs.

I am not posting this article here because I am against Snowdan lawan. But my main reason is to inform MACC how BN YBs are using the tax payer monies for their own benefits and to fish for Votes. To MACC what are you waiting for?

Congratulations YB but for What constributions?

The task of the Yang Berhormat (YB) other than to bring the development into his constituency, he too also needs to protect the interest of the people in the constituency from any inteference.
YB Snowdan Lawan has been the YB for N25-Balai Ringin for the first term or for the past four (4) years but without significant contributions to the contituency. Eventhough  without the constributions to his  contituency, on 5th June 2010 he was awarded with the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) title by the Yang DiPertuan Agong.
But probably the award was for his contribution to the Dayak Music Industry. Snowdan so far has seen more successful doing his job as an Anugerah Musik Dayak (AMD) chairman than doing his task as a YB for N25-Balai Ringin. N25-Balai Ringin which he has been representing for about five (5)  years, is known as one of the most less developed constuencies in  Malaysia.
In 2004, the people of the four longhouses under his constituency namely Rh Bugak Ubah, Rh Jawan Tekuyong, Rh Ngulu Empaling and Rh Stephen Isu, signed an agreement with Tetangga Akrab Pantu to develop their NCR lands. The NCR lands which were mostly planted with the rubber tress were cleared and the timber from these NCR lands were sold by Tetangga Akrab without any compensation to the land owners.
Since the signing of the JV with Tetangga Akrab until it was sold to Kim Loong Resources Sdn. Bhd in late 2009,  the land owners were only paid with the Advance Divident amounting to less than RM 200.00 per hectare per year. The latest presentation of the Advance Divident to the land participants was held on 22nd May 2010 at the company office in Tekuyong.

The Advance Divident payment was officiated by YB Snowdan Lawan,  where 460 participants recieved Advance Divident totalling RM 118,397, far below the amount of income that they could get if their NCR lands were not cleared for the JV. During the presentation of cheque ceremony, YB Snowdan Lawan advised the participants to bank in or invest their monies in the Amanah Saham Nasional. What a joke.....
Being the participants in the JV  myself , where I surrendered my 2 hectares of land which I enherited from my late father, I did not go to collect the divident as the petrol and subsitence cost to make that journey  will exceed the amount of advanve divedent that I will get. Based on previous experiences with two hectares of land that I have, I was only paid with RM 120 per six months or equivalent to RM 20 per months advance divident. What sort of JV is this? Obviously it was not enough for daily expenses what to say for investment or  for saving in the bank. That two hectares of land which were planted with rubber trees before the JV, with existing rubber price, easily I can make an income of RM 2000 per month.
For what had happened to our land and the indirect loss incurred to us as a result of the JV, I am blamming all of these YBs and the ex-YB below:-

(1) YB Snowdan Lawan
(2) YB Mong Dagang
(3) Ex-YB Jimmy Donald

The above YB should be held responssible for  misled us to sign the JV with Tetangga Akrab and Pelita.

To conclude, I hope Snowdan Lawan will do these two things to the voters in N25-Balai Ringin before the next State Election:-

(1) In the whole of Malaysia, N25-Balai Ringin is the most less developed constituency. BN must bring the development which is capable to uplift the living standard of the people in thev constituency such as the project like "one longhouse with one products". Do not mislead the people with roof zinc, 'anak ayam" and the MRP Grant. Cleaned water, electricity and tar sealed road is a must things for every longhouses, and should not be considered as a development.

(2) The top PRS/BN failure in N25- Balai Ringin, is an Oil Palm JV Project where the NCR lands planted with rubber trees were surrendered to PELITA and Tetangga Akrab/Kim Loong Resources. You must help the land owners to get back their lands from the company. The JV is a failure since it cannot pay the land owners atleast RM 800/month per hectares.

Fulfilling the above two items may not guarantee the PRS/BN to win the seat in the coming state election, but without doing it, you'll be remembered as the most unsuccessfull Iban's YB with Agong's award throughout Sarawak history.

Hundred families from Kampong Pengkalan Pantu, Sri Aman sarawak here were forced to evacuate their houses and to find shelter at SRK Chung Hua Pantu because the raising flood water from Batang Strap for the past three days has flooded their village at about 1 meter high or at waist-deep.

According to several residents, the water level as of yesterday was estimated at about one meter high and have been risen since the continous downpour late Monday. They were also been informed of possible rain in the next few days and this was based on the weather forecast released by the government agencies.

In the meantime, their stay at SRK Chung Hua Pantu is monitored and taken care of by personnel from the relevant government agencies

But Where Are Their YBS

We, the Iban who are exposed to the real meaning of development are responsible to tell our people especially those who live in the longhouses or rural areas, that they have been cheated by the BN politicians for more than 45 years. They need to be assisted in reforming their minds so as to put a STOP to the  Barisan Nasional real Politic of Development....Bukittunggal.com

One of the resident informed Bukittunggal.com that none of the BN YBs (From P202 and N25) ever visited them. He was very unhappy with the two YBs for not visiting them. The situation is very different from the YBs in other areas such as in Peninsular. In peninsular malaysia, during calamity, their YBs will visit them and government assistance will be disbursed immediately.

But I am not surprised with these two YBs. They will only show their faces to attend the political gatherings or functions. For example the flood along Jalan Simpang Ubah-Tekuyong-Isu which was reported by  Dayak Nation but so far no efrfort was made by the two YBs to repair the bridge or to the raise the level of the road.

Typical BN Iban politicians for the two constituencies, they always manipulated the people here. But the time will come for the voters in these two constituencies to realise that they have been cheated by BN. Just wait for the next election...They will lose the election as the people has power to VOTE THEM OUT!

The Construction Of Batang Seterap Bridge - Snowdan Lawan Needs to Explain to the People Of Pantu the Progress of the Project

26th April 2009 - Snowdan Lawan made An announcement on the Construction of the bridge Crossing Batang Seterap. What happened to the Project ?

On 26 April 2009 during the closing of Pesta Tapah Pantu, Snowdan Lawan the Assemblyman for N25 Balai Ringin made an announcement to The 10,000 people of Pantu that a long-awaited bridge over Batang Seterap, which would connect Pantu to several villages across the river, is expected to be built this year.
The said assemblyman was reported saying that the allocation of RM19.5 million had been approved :-
“For the people of Pantu, after waiting so long since the bridge project was proposed, discussed and raised at the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) sitting, I am pleased to announce that the government, out of its concern and commitment towards rural infrastructure development, has approved the project.The tender for the project should be open in the middle of this year and the bridge is expected to be completed next year,” he said.
But today, after more than 7 month the announcement was made, my personal visit to Pengkalan Pantu, I did not see that the construction is going to start within this year or near future. What happened to the project? Was it just a rethoric to merrier the closing ceremony of Pesta Tapah ?
Snowdan Lawan need to explain to the 10,000 people of pantu or risk losing their supports.

Dayak Leaders Can Fool The Dayak But Not PAKATAN RAKYAT

Dayak leaders need to accept the fact that they cannot fool their own people as Pakatan Rakyat are watching them. Their latest blunder was highlighted by Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng. Lim Guang E ng during his visit to Sarawak suggested for the formation of Dayak Endowment Board (DEB) to help the marginalised and the poor Iban-Dayak. According to Lim, with the board in place, the government would not only be helping in terms of money, but also opportunities.

“I’m just saying that we want to help those who have been marginalised. So I do not see what is wrong in helping them. Are we going to allow them to continue to be marginalised?” he said to The Borneo Post during a DAP gathering called “A Night With Guan Eng” at Batu Kawa here on Thursday.

His proposal with DEB has been wrongly intrepated by majority (if not all) of the Iban-Dayak leaders from Barisan Nasional. They did not want to accept the fact that Iban-dayak are being marginalised and amongst the poorest in Malaysia. Some of them even went on and dared Lim Guan Eng to visit the longhouses.

YB Snowdan Lawan, the State Assemblyman ( YB) for N25 Balai Ringin (where Bukit Tunggal is located) disagreed with Lim opinion, and said that the households in his constituency earned a monthly income of RM500 or more (less than 25% where as another 75% under poverty).

“I know my area very well. Many of the children are working overseas earning RM10,000 or RM15,000 per month. I do not think it is true that rural families earn RM200 or less a month. At least, not in my constituency, otherwise they will not be able to have a car or a van to transport their crops to the market,” .

YB Snowdan Lawan should cut the crap and wake up from your sleep and Stop dreaming. I dare you if you can proof to me that 5% (just 5%) the people from the longhouses in your contituecy can afford to buy Kanchil or van as claimed by you, I will sacrifice by closing this blog,and if that is not enough, I'll throw my vote to you forever.

When I read this YB statement in Borneo Post yesterday, I laughed. How could, a YB of the most poorest contituency in Sarawak dared Lim Guang Eng , a Chief Minister of one of the richest state in Malaysia to visit the longhouses in his contituency. Was it a joke ? To YB Snowdan, do you want me to take the photograph of some of the longhouses in your constituency like Sg. Tenggang, Aping, Dadak, Abok, Empaling, Tekuyong, Ubah, Isu..etc, and put them here in my blog so that the whole world know that you lied to them?

I would like to remind you to STOP using the size of Sarawak as an excuse for not developing the Iban-Dayak. You and your band of f*cking Iban-Dayak leaders in BN have been cheated by Taib Mahmud to use this excuse agains your own people.

We all knew that all of the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN are not clever, but please do not show to the whole world that you all (the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN) are stupid.....

Instead of asking Lim Guang Eng to visit the longhouses, you and the rest of your STUPID and F*CKING Iban-Dayak leaders in BN, should organise a working visit to the two States under Pakatan Rakyat rules , Selangor and Penang. See the developments in the kampong there with your own eyes. Came back from there, and if you are not happy with the development of the longhouses in your contituencies , send a petition to Tok Uban and Alantuya lover request for more development for Iban-Dayak areas.

All the F*cking Iban-Dayak Politicians in Barisan Nasional must now realised that the era where the leader can bluff the voters in the longhouses has past......Please be careful with what you said in the future...

Gawai Dayak Celebration - MP and State Assembly Members Under Performing Prevails

Gawai Dayak is supposed to be celebrated in a very jovial and happy mood. But this only can be achieved if the basic amenities such as electricity and water are met.
This year Gawai Dayak, the first and second day were celebrated in my longhouse, and then continued with the celebration at my in-law house in Sri Aman on third and fourth day of the gawai .
In the longhouse where there is no electricity, during this hot weather, the celebration was like hell. The one panel solar energy provided by ex YB Jimmy Donald about 10 years ago was far from enough to provide 24 hours power to the household. Therefore to provide enough energy, some of them have to buy the generator for themselves. The cost to operate the generator for 24hours electricity is about 16 litres of petrol per generator/household. Because of the high cost so the generator is only operating from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. And they have to live without electricity for the rest of the day. Just imagine during this dry and hot weather without fan (what to say air-cond.) ??? Can the Vision 2020 be achieved nationwide. Jabu and Masing must be day dreaming...
At my in-law house in Sri Aman where there is no electricity problem, but the people here have been affected by water woes for the past 10 years especially during Gawai Dayak and Christmas. Just wonder, which one is more important is it the Water Front project or the basic amneties such as water?
Another problem whic has been faced  by the people in Sri Aman especially the Anglican followers is a place of worship. Since St Luke church was destroyed in fire (about 8 years ago, sorry I could not remember the exact year it was destroyed) the government still could not provide fund to re-build the church. About 80% of the voters in Sri Aman are christian. Why can't the government help to rebuild the church? Why there is a double standard between religions in term of government Assistance ? Why are assistances only to be provided to Islam only? Aren't we all Malaysian ?
To all the Dayak Leaders or representatives such as the followings, if all of you feel that you are not capable to work for your people, do not seek for re-election in the coming election.

YB Snowdan Lawan announced that a bridge crossing batang Strap will be built within this year. According to Snowdan, the allocation for the bridge totaling RM 19 million has been approved. The tender for the project should be opened in middle of this year and the bridge is expected to be completed by next year.

Pesta Tapah panrtu had been held from 24th April 2009 and ended on 26th April 2009. According to Snowdan, the objective of Pesta Tapah pantu is to attract tourists to this small/cowboy town thus help to provide another avenue of income for the residents of Pantu and it surrounding. The opening ceremony was officiated by Francis Harden whereas Closing by Snowdan himself. PRS President James Jemut Masing and YB Mong the PRS Youth Chief were not seen during the opening and closing ceremony of Pesta Tapah. Some PRS supporters met during the Opening and Closing ceremonies informed that there was a rift between JJM + Mong & Donald Lawan/Jabu .

Where are Masing and Mong ?

With the implementation of SCORE in Nothern part of sarawak , whereby most of the development funds been channeled to Mukah, making it impossible for SNOWDAN to start construct the bridge within this year.
Probably the annauncement made by YB Snowdan during his closing speech was just a gimmick and  meant to make the Closing ceremony more merrier. To the people of Pantu or those who are going to benefit from the bridge dont hope too much , the annauncement could be just an empty promised by BN. But if the construction still proceed to YB SNOWDAN, I SALUTE YOU.....but if the promised is empty, to YB Snowdan and the rest of BN YB, I only have this to say to all of you...

Pesta Tapah in Pantu-BN Real Politic Of Development Exposed

In this posting I am going to EXPOSE to the world what has Barisan Nasional Politic of development done to develop one of the less developed sub-district in Sarawak or probably in the whole Malaysia. During the just concluded by-election for Batang Ai, in order to deny Parti Keadilan Rakyat candidate ex-YB Jawah Gerang victory, other than the abuse of power and corruptions, Barisan Nasional election working committee had also deceiving the voters in Lubok Antu by flashing the images of the old buildings and the old village houses in Permatang Pauh. The images were flashed full page for the duration of more than two consecutive days prior to the election day, in the two main newspapers in Sarawak , the Borneo Post and Eastern Times .

The intention was of course to lie to the people of Lubok Antu ( in which they always did to the native of Sarawak) that PKR defacto leader cannot develop Lubok Antu. Let's examine the development in term of the basic amenities between Lubok Antu and Permatang Pauh.

In Lubok Antu , even thought the biggest dam is located here , surprisingly less than 10% of the populations are provided with the electricity. And in some of the long houses , even thought the power cable was seen crossing zic-zac on top of their longhouses but they are still dark when come to night time. In Permatang Pauh, 100 % of the populations can watch their favourite satelite TV channels. For hospital and doctors, in Permatang pauh, they are served by few doctors compare to just a Health Assistant in LA. The nearest hospital in LA is located in Sri Aman which is about 100 Km away. For Education Facilities, parent s in Permatang Pauh don’t have to send their children to the other town as few primary and Secondary Schools can be found here.

A reminder to the BARISAN NASIONAL government don’t fool yourself and dont fool the rakyat, there is no way that the development in Sarawak and in Peninsular Malaysia can be compared with. YOUR POLITIC of Development is ZERO and on the expenses of the natives.

In today posting, in coincide with the upcoming event in Pantu that is the Pesta Tapah, I am going to write an article on this small town , the place where I was raised and spent almost 85% of my childhood life. The Pesta Tapah or Festival of the Fish (Tapah fish is the species of river fish that can be found in Sanjau River ) is going to be held in Pantu on 24th to 26th April 2009. The reason why I chose Pantu as my subject of EXPOSE mainly because of these two reasons. The first reason is to promote the upcoming event , the Pesta Tapah so that those who have planning to join the festival know where is Pantu and how to go there and, also so that they will not be cheated by the promotion done by YB Snowdan Lawan. And the second reason and the most important reason is to EXPOSE the SINS of Barisan Nasional to the people of Pantu, to the rest of Malaysian , and also to the world populations.

Pantu Sub-District is one of the sub-district in Sri Aman District. It size is about 492 square kilometres.

The total population of Pantu is more than 8000 people (year 2000). Of this 8000 population, 90% are Iban where as Chinese represent about Breakdown of the population Iban where as the rest are Chines (about 5% ) and the other races (less than 0.5%). The main occupation of the people of pantu are farmers (Iban), government servants, shopkeepers and also plantation workers. In term of the income , about 85% of the Ibans population that live in the longhouses are living under the poverty line/hard core poor ( household income between RM 500 to RM 700/Month) It is located about 65 km from Sri Aman and about 139 km from Bandaraya Kuching. Means of transport for the people of Pantu is by van sapu or pirate van and for those who are staying by the river such as Kampung Sapak, Keranggas and Mawang, long boat is still their means of transportation. There is no public transport such as bus or train in Pantu. Let’s see whether the Politic of Development by Barisan Nasional Government has reached this cowboy town Pantu :

Pantu Dispensary. Man by Health Assistants and nurses. No doctor. Minor chronic sickness will be referred to Sri Aman hospital which is located about 65km away. ...THE POLITIC OF DEVELOPMENT

Chinese Primary School 150% better than SRK Pantu a goverment school.

Atlast Pantu got better Sub-District office to serve it 8000 populations...After almost 46 years under BN Rules

See the one and only Goverment Secondary School in Pantu...Looking at the condition of the school how could we, the Iban uplifting our level of education to be at the same par with our Chinese and Malay friends.

Please look at the condition inside the boarding house. The hostel not only looked cramp but lacking in term of safety features. Do you see any escape door ? Can one imagine what will happen incase of emergency which require the pupils to evacuate the room ???

You have seen the BN Goverment politic of development in Pantu in reality, now let us find out who are the members of Parliament and the State Legislative assembly for Pantu. As mentioned above, Iban counted for more than 90% of the total population of Pantu. It was one of the Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) stronghold before it perished not long time ago (some believed insrumented by James Jemut Masing).

Pantu is located in P202 Sri Aman and N25 Balai Ringin.. It is represented by YB Masir Kujat and YB Snowdan Lawan respectively. Both of the candidates, YB Masir Kujat and Snowdan Lawan are Donald Lawan and PBB men. Many people believed that in the coming election, YB Mong Dagang will be dropped by Donald Lawan and replaced with his man....BN POLITIC OF DEVELOPMENT....Creation of Colony. Jabu, Taib Mahmud and Donald Lawan have started it first......
