Mr PM - What Actions Had Been Taken Against the Two-Racist Headmistresses ?

Kuching
Tuesday, 21st September 2010

On 24th August 2010 and republished on 2nd September 2010, I wrote in Bukittunggal.com about the three teachers who made racist remarks against the Chinese and Indian primary school students in Kedah, Perak and Johor.
These three teachers, two of them were headmistresses and one a discipline teacher. According to the fact of the case, the problem started with Siti Inshah Mansor, a Johor school principal, who said in a speech at her school that:

“Chinese students are not needed and can go back to China or Foon Yew School. As for the Indian students, the prayer strings that they wear around their wrists and necks make them look like dogs and only dogs are chained up like that.”

A few days after that incident, the Kedah  headmistress hurled similar slurs at her Chinese pupils after she found them eating during the fasting month - on the basis that they were disrespecting Ramadan.

On 27th August 2010 one visitor to Bukittunggal.com reported that a discipline teacher from SMK Anderson in Ipoh Perak name Kamarulzazaman had uttered the racist remarks against the Indian students about cutting their neck and wrist strings.
Of all the three cases, few police reports were lodged by the parents against the two headmistress but the case in Perak, no action had been taken as the case had been covered-up  by the school authority. The discipline teacher was allowed to go back to his disciplinary job.

Until Today What Actions Have Been Taken By The Government
Just before Hari Raya, Deputy Prime Minister had announced the setting-up of the Special Task Force to probe the two incidents. The government was expected to announce the findings of a special task force after the Hari Raya holidays but so far the government had not made any announcement.
Not only DPM failed to take action against two headmistress for hurling racial slurs at their non-Malay pupils, one of them has returned to work at her Kedah school.
And for the police report  made by the parents, no follow-up actions were taken by the police but instead, they grilled namewee for  exposing the matter in the youtube.

Lim Kit Siang wrote in his blog :
“The school principal in Kedah has returned to her posting although the parents and the Malaysian public have been given to understand that she would be transferred away – as if nothing serious had happened, making a total mockery of Najib’s “zero tolerance for racism” declaration.”
Kit Siang added "All eyes will be on the Cabinet meeting tomorrow – not only on whether the Cabinet would take a stand to ensure that the two school principals who had made racial slurs against their students in school should be severely punished as an example to all education officers, but whether the Cabinet would at long last give full endorsement to Najib’s 1Malaysia policy with every Cabinet Minister declaring support for the 1Malaysia policy to create a Malaysian nation where every Malaysian regards himself or herself as Malaysian first and race second."

If PM Najib is serious about his 1Malaysia concept, he must take the matter seriously by taking appropriate actions against the two headmistresses.

Namewee-From the Bottom Of My Heart and A Challenge For Debate With Puteri UMNO!

Kuching
Wednesday, 8th September 2010

Namewee from Generation Y, first made a big name in Malaysia in 2007 when his rap song entitled  "NEGARAKUKU" appeared in popular Youtube. Last month he once against angered the UMNO by his another rap song but this time about the racist headmistress name Siti Inshah. Despite acted as whistleblower, he was condemned by UMNO especially by its Puteri Wing.
Today he tells the Malaysian his side of the story, and his willingness to debate with Puteri UMNO that his song was created in good faith and because of his loves to this country. Please read his statementment exclusively in Bukittunggal.com...

My name is Wee Meng Chee.

Namewee..Generation Y Malaysian

I am a Malaysian who grew up harmoniously with friends from all all walks of life and different races. From my young age, I was taught under our national education system to always have an open mind so that some day I can in turn, contribute my intellectual thoughts back to my beloved country.
Over the past few weeks, servants of the government under the education system have committed certain acts which disrupted the racial sentiments in the country and like many of my fellow Malaysians, I felt saddened and at times angered by these black sheep who do not respect that Malaysia is a multi-racial country with freedom of religion.
I strongly believe that this country was built by all races including Malays, Chinese, Indians and other minorities. Hence, my main objective for uploading the new video titled ‘Nah’ was to condemn such acts and to stand up against racism. This video was about defending the constitution of the country because just like me, most Malaysians want nothing but peace and racial harmony.
I have used obscene language blatantly as a form of communication in some of my videos but that does not mean I am not educated nor that I have committed a serious crime. Vulgarity content was chosen only with the objective of bringing forward my point of view (and the view of many people) with more impact. Therefore, I believe it is more critical to highlight the subject matter instead of focusing on the choice of words.
Based on the report I have read by Utusan Malaysia, I am truly saddened and disbelief that I am now being accused of causing racial tension in my beloved country by a small group of politicians representing the government when all I was doing in my own way, was to defend the true constitution of the country and condemn those who do not respect our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s hard work of building a 1Malaysia country. To show my support for our Prime Minister for enforcing ‘Zero tolerance over racist remarks’, I have also taken out the said video from my youtube account since I have already highlighted my stand over the issue, which is to STOP RACISM in this country.
Many accusations have been made upon me since 2007, and this time I like to defend for myself as nobody seems to be defending for me in the political arena. My name has been used on many incidents by politicians over the years, this time I am not going to let empty accusations with no basis being laid upon me again. I am only an individual with no political agenda or motives, who wishes to voice out his opinion against racism in this country.
Therefore I like to challenge Puteri Umno Chief for an open debate, I like to find out from her, why is she attacking the victim (the Malaysian public) when the real perpetrators of this very issue has yet to be punished? If the Chief thinks that I have no respect and sense of responsibility for my own country, please accept my invitation to have an open public debate on this issue. Help us Malaysians define, how to become a good patriotic citizen of Malaysia , educate us please.
Lastly, I love my country and I wish Malaysia a very Happy 53rd National Day !!

Siti Inshah Mansor -The Headmistress Becoming Celebrity In One Night

Kuching
Tuesday, 24th August 2010

Siti Inshah Mansor the Racist Headmistress

Let’s wait and see what action will be taken against Siti Inshah Mansor (pic above), the principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, Kulai, for the racist remarks she allegedly made at the Merdeka celebrations in her school

The first time I read about this disgraced headmistress, I just could not believed with what I read. The headmisteress who has been given the responsibility to ensure that students from various races in the school to live harmoniously with each other, ever said such a racist comments.
If I am to be given the opportunity to mete the punishment against this racict headmistress, the only punishment that fit her is an exile to the outer world that is by banishing her to Mars.

According to the Free Malaysia Today report, the police will be concluding their investigations soon, under Section 504 of the Penal Code. If they have a case, Siti Inshah could be charged with provocation, which carries a maximum imprisonment of two years, a fine or both.

Meanwhile, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang has called for her to be sacked. MCA president Chua Soi Lek calls for her to be transferred to a desk job and given counselling. How generous of Chua. But what all the dayak leaders say about the case. As of when this article is written, the two vocal Iban leaders Masing and Jabu are still holding to their balls.

Siti Inshah is alleged to have said that Chinese students are not needed in the school and can go back to China or Sekolah Foon Yew (a private Chinese school in Johor), and that the prayer strings Indian students wear on their neck and wrist make them look like dogs, and only dogs would be tied this way. If the allegation is true, what could have possessed her to make her say such things? That is something that must be ascertained. Even if she had been provoked for some reason or other, it is still not her place to react this way to the students. She has a huge responsibility as a school principal to restrain her racist impulses.
Given the seriousness of the situation, if the allegation is true, how then can she be allowed to get away with it? If she were to be exonerated, imagine the damage she could further cause given her influential position.
If it is true that she behaved like a racist, her name should instead be remembered in the Hall of Shame.

Racial slurs

So far, however, among the Barisan Nasional parties, only the MCA and the MIC have criticised the action. Has any Umno leader come out to say anything against it? And if so, why not?  What about the dayak majority parties such as PRS, SPDP and PBB(Pesaka Wing) ? Being the supporter of harmony and peaceful Malaysia, I am urging all Iban's Ministers to come forward and condemn this racist headmistress.

UMNO Semakin Berani Memainkan Isu Perkauman

Kuching, Sarawak
Wednesday, 1st September 2010

UMNO Semakin Berani Mengorbankan Keamanan Malaysia Demi Untuk Politik Sempit Dengan Memainkan Isu Perkauman.

Apakah Motif UMNO sebenarnya?

There Should be Zero Racist Amongst The Teachers

Kuching
Sunday, 29th August 2010

Since Siti Inshah the headmistress of SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra racist remark had came out in the news, there were actually more than "one" Siti Inshah amongst the teachers.

Another  Racist Siti Inshah In The School

In Kedah another headmistress was accused of uttering similar derogatory remarks. The SMK Bukit Selambau headmistress was said to have accused the Chinese pupils of being insensitive to the Muslims for eating in the school compound during the Ramadan month and ordered them to return to China if they could not respect the cultures of other races. In the incident, the principal had allegedly scolded 10 Form Three students for eating outside the school canteen at about 7am before classes began. The students were eating outside because the lights in the canteen were not switched on.

SM Anderson Ipoh..where the incident of educator uttering  the racist remark also occur as reported by
a reader of  Bukittunggal

Other than the above incidents, Bukittunggal.com also received information from one reader alleged that a teacher in SM Anderson Ipoh had also uttered a racist remarks against the Indian students. The reader who named himself as Rajloo on 27th August had said :-

There is a same case happen in anderson ipoh! about cutting the Indians neck and wrist strings! but all cover up! and the bastard is back to his disciplinary job ! his name is Kamarulzaman!

As of when this article is written there is no information whether the incidence in Anderson Ipoh has been brought up to the attention of the authorities.

Should Racist Be Allowed

I am looking at the racist remarks by the educators, what to say if he or she is a school principal, as very serious. The teacher is responsible to ensure that the students from various races live harmoniously with each other in the school. But if the headmistress acted in the opposite manner, therefore he or she is not fit to sit on the principal chair.

We should not tolerate with racist. It is the act of against the constitution and law. Regardless of the skin colour of the culprit, he or she should be dealt with the law accordingly.

We hope that the government especially the Ministry of Education (MOE) will take appropriate actions against the teachers involved in uttering the racist remarks. Any action by the government to cover-up such matter will have an adverse affect to PM Najib's 1Malaysia initiative.
