Sebagai rakyat Malaysia yang mengimpikan seorang pemimpin yang bersih dan bukan seorang yang dikaitkan dengan kes khalwat dengan penyanyi wanita di PD serta dikaitkan dengan kes meletupkan Alantuya, diharapkan pendedah ini akan menamatkan riwayat politik pemimpin kotor ini.

Peguam Perancis William Bourdon mendarat di Pulau Pinang hari ini. Beliau dijadual berucap pada majlis makan malam anjuran Suaram malam ini dengan tujuan mengutip derma. Pesawat yang membawa dari KLIA tiba pada jam 10.25 pagi dan beliau memasuki negeri ini tanpa sebarang halangan.

Pengarah Suaram Cynthia Gabriel, yang mengiringi Bourdon dalam lawatan itu berkata peguam itu juga tidak menghadapi sebarang masalah di Imigresen KLIA apabila mendarat lewat malam semalam.

“Segalanya okay. Beliau hanya keletihan dan memerlukan sedikit rehat,” katanya kepada Malaysiakini.

William Bourdon dijadual berucap mengenai 'Ops Scorpene' di Bayan Baru malam ini. Penceramah lain termasuk Cynthia, pemimpin vetera DAP Lim Kit Siang, naib presiden PKR Tian Chua dan timbalan presiden PAS Mohamad Sabu.

Peguam Perancis yang berkhidmat dengan pertubuhan tanpa keuntungan - Sherpa - dan mengkhusus dalam membela hak asasi manusia dan jenayah menentang kemanusiaan.

Bourdon dijangka mendedahkan butiran kontroversial mengenai pembelian kapalselam negara dengan firma gergasi pertahanan Perancis DCNS.

Syarikat itu didakwa membayar komisyen “yang amat tinggi” kepada pegawai kerajaan Malaysia yang terbabit dalam perjanjian yang dimeterai pada 2002 itu.

Bayaran komisyen kepada pegawai kerajaan dianggap satu jenayah mengikut undang-undang Perancis.

Jewish Group Warns Utusan Malaysia

All Jews around the world should not waste anytime and teach this UMNO newspaper a lesson. With the power and intelligence that they have, it is not impossible for the Jews to punish this most racist newspaper in the whole world.

A global Jewish organisation has hit out at the Utusan Malaysia newspaper for propagating anti-Semitic hatred. The paper had claimed in its editorial that the Bersih 2.0 rally was an opportunity for Jews to infiltrate into Malaysia’s national affairs.
B’nai B’rith International, a Jewish humanitarian organisation, called the allegation “preposterous” and “offensive” and which only serves to perpetuate an anti-Semitic attitude.
“Though no specific plot was mentioned in the editorial, the accusation of a possible Jewish interference in Malaysia’s internal affairs is an outlandish claim that promotes anti-Semitic attitudes,” said a statement on its website.
It added that that this claim was “especially harmful” as spreading such messages in a government-backed paper only lends more legitimacy to such arguments.
“As many Malaysians rely on government-backed media outlets for news and information, this destructive claim is likely to be the only information some citizens receive on this issue,” it added.
On July 18, Utusan had carried an editorial linking the Bersih 2.0 rally to pro-Jewish groups. It said that supporting the demonstration can assist the alleged motive of “pro-foreign parties who are trying to control the country”.
It further cautioned: “Muslims and Malaysians should not allow any party especially Jews from interfering in the affairs of this country.”
Prior to the July 9 rally, the Malay daily had also carried headlines linking Bersih 2.0 – which had staged the rally demanding for clean and fair elections – with Communism and being funded by international Christian organisations.
B’nai B’rith International also denounced the so-called “Jewish link”, saying it is a separate development in internal politics.
B’nai B’rith president Allan J Jacobs said: “Turning an internal call for reform into a forum for religious prejudice is unacceptable, and serves only to induce anti-Semitic sentiments.”
Echoing that sentiment, its vice-president Daniel S Mariaschin said: “It is completely without foundation to attempt to vilify Jews totally unaffiliated with an internal reform movement”.
B’nai B’rith claims to be the oldest operating Jewish service organisation. It has nearly 100 000 members and supporters in 50 countries.

An overzealous government response to an opposition rally.

This article was first published in Economist on 14th July 2011. According to Pakatan Rakyat MP, KDN had tried to sensor the article by blacken all the points that shows police brutality. MALAYSIA is one of South-East Asia’s stabler nations; but a rally in Kuala Lumpur on July 9th in demand of electoral reform turned surprisingly nasty, leading to the arrest of more than 1,600 people. The police fired tear gas and water cannon into the crowd, and one man died of a heart attack. All those arrested were released fairly quickly, but Amnesty International, a London-based human-rights group, called it “the worst campaign of repression in the country for years”. The government’s reaction showed a lot of nervousness about how much opposition it can tolerate.

In fact the crackdown started a few weeks ago after “Bersih 2.0” announced that it was going to stage the rally. Bersih, also known as The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections, is a loose alliance of NGOs and activists (bersih means “clean”). It argues that all candidates should be given access to the mainstream media and that indelible ink should be used to stop people voting more than once. It all sounds uncontroversial, but not to the government. Bersih was declared illegal on July 1st and about 200 activists were rounded up. The march itself was then banned, although the authorities offered Bersih a stadium to meet in—and then withdrew the offer.Perhaps the government was looking back nervously to the first Bersih march, in 2007. On that occasion, too, thousands protested against the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition government and demanded reform. Subsequently, in the 2008 general election, the BN lost its largest share of votes since 1957 when it started ruling the country after the British left. The current prime minister, Najib Razak, deputy prime minister in 2007 before taking over the top job in an internal party coup, must have feared that the second Bersih rally might be a similar portent. He has to hold an election before 2013, but wants to do so earlier to win his own mandate. Opposition politicians were quick to join Bersih. The pre-eminent leader of the opposition, Anwar Ibrahim, was shoved to the ground and injured in the affray.Mr Najib defended the police and accused the marchers of sowing chaos. Dismissing the motives of Bersih, he cast it as a desperate attempt by Mr Anwar to grab power. The immediate upshot is that Mr Najib may choose to delay calling for an election for some time, to let things settle down. He presumably hopes that if he waits long enough, people will have forgotten about this ugly incident. But the longer-term effects are hard to judge. It might also help to unite a fractious opposition against what they portray as an assault on democracy.

None of this bodes well for Malaysia. The heavy-handed police tactics have provoked a lot of anger; the government has conceded an official investigation into claims of police brutality. In one instance (caught on film), police seemed to fire tear gas and water cannon into a hospital where protesters were sheltering from a baton charge. Few old laws were left untouched in the attempt to round up suspects before the march. It was reported that 30 people arrested in Penang were investigated under Section 122 of the Penal Code for the charge of waging war against the king. Dragging in the constitutional monarch, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, seemed particularly desperate, reminiscent of the abuse of the monarchy’s position in neighbouring Thailand. On the eve of the rally, the king came out with a statement reminding everyone that “street demonstrations bring more bad than good, although the original intention is good.”

Khalid Samad: Thanking Najib For Police brutality against peaceful rally

Khalid Thanking Najib for allowing the Police to use "mild" force against BERSIH 2.0 rally.

"Malaysians participated in BERSIH 2.0 rally recently should thanking and love Najib for did not ask the police to kill them" said the Shah Alam MP, Khalid Abdul Samad.

Cynically the Shah Alam MP Khalid , Khalid Abdul Samad wanted all Malaysians especially the victims of police brutality during the BERSIH 2.0 rally on 9 July 2011 to thanks the PM Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

"Seharusnya rakyat berterima kasih dan sayang kepada Najib sebab dia tak bunuh peserta himpunan hari tu," kata ahli parlimen Shah Alam, Khalid Abdul Samad.

Secara sinis, ahli parlimen Shah Alam, Khalid Abdul Samad mahu rakyat khususnya mangsa keganasan polis semasa perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 pada 9 Julai lalu berterima kasih kepada Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Menurut Harakahdaily, Khalid membuat gesaan itu kerana Najib mendakwa pihak polis menggunakan tindakan agak "ringan" terhadap peserta perhimpunan itu.
"Seharusnya rakyat berterima kasih dan sayang kepada Najib sebab dia tak bunuh peserta himpunan hari tu," katanya dipetik akhbar rasmi PAS itu sambil ketawa terbahak-bahak.
Najib ketika ditemubual beberapa wartawan di London semalam dilaporkan berkata, pihak polis menggunakan tindakan yang sewajarnya dalam usaha menyuraikan peserta perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 di ibu negara Sabtu lalu.
Katanya tindakan polis agak ringan kerana tahanan dibebaskan selepas lapan jam dan mereka dilayan dengan baik.

Beliau juga mendakwa tiada penggunaan tindakan yang tidak wajar oleh polis dan penunjuk perasaan disuraikan dengan menggunakan kekerasan yang minumum.
Sambil mendakwa kenyataan Najib itu sebagai kelakar, Khalid yang turut menerima enam jahitan di kepala akibat terkena kanister gas pemedih mata pada hari itu berkata perdana menteri langsung tidak menunjukkan rasa bersalah.

"Itulah minda autokrat perdana menteri kita. Kita tidak boleh salahkan dia.
"Saya yakin dia tak rasa dia menipu, dan tak rasa bersalah pun (mengeluarkan kenyataan sedemikian), walaupun seluruh dunia sudah melihat rakaman video dan gambar keganasan polis dalam internet," katanya yang juga AJK PAS Pusat.
Pada perhimpunan yang dihadiri ribuan rakyat daripada pelbagai lapisan, sejumlah 1,667 orang ditahan oleh pihak polis. Mereka kemudiannya dibebaskan selepas diambil keterangan pada hari yang sama.

Bagaimanapun selepas itu, ramai yang tampil mendakwa pihak berkuasa bersikap ganas terhadap mereka yang datang secara aman.
Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia (Suhakam) juga dihujani pelbagai aduan peserta mendakwa polis menendang dan memukul mereka sebelum ditangkap.
Suhakam yang juga menghantar pasukan pemantau pada hari itu juga mengakui, polis menggunakan kekerasan sewaktu menyuraikan peserta himpunan.

It says new evidence points to the issuing of a third commission, which is even ‘bigger' than the earlier ones.

Come next Thursday, Malaysians would get to hear first-hand from a French lawyer that even "bigger" commissions were paid to "extremely high level" government officials in Malaysia related to the purchase of two submarines in 2002.

Penangites would be ahead of those in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh to hear lawyer William Bourdon spills the beans on the controversial deal with French company DCNS in a fundraising event dubbed 'Ops Scorpene'.

KL-based human rights NGO Suaram is organising a dinner in Bayan Baru where besides Bourdon, its board member Cynthia Gabriel, DAP national adviser Lim Kit Siang, PKR vice-president Tian Chua and PAS deputy president Mohammed Sabu will speak.

 According to Gabriel new evidence points to the issuing of a third commission which is "bigger" than the earlier ones paid out to a Malaysian consulting company calledPerimekar Sdn Bhd."The details would be revealed at the lawyer's exclusive presentation in the dinner events," said Gabriel at a press conference in Penang yesterday.

"I cannot reveal much but would encourage everyone to attend the event," she added. "We are shocked that there are many more commissions being paid out to unidentified government officials in the country... and these are top officials," she lamented. 

Perimekar is a subsidiary of KS Ombak Laut Sdn Bhd, and the major shareholder in this obscure company is allegedly political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda's wife, Maslinda Makhzan. Abdul Razak is the close ssociate of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, who was defence minister when the multi-billion ringgit submarine deal was negotiated. He was charged in 2006 with abetting two police officers, who were Najib's bodyguards, in the gruesome murder of Mongolian national and translator Altantuya Shaariibuu, believed to be his mistress. 

Abdul Razak, head of a pro-government think-tank, was acquitted in 2007 without his defence being called. The two police officers have since been convicted of murder and are now on death row.Altantuya-Abdul Razak's trip to HK On Monday, Suaram disclosed travelling details of Abdul Razak and Altantuya to Hong Kong, after it revealed a trip to Macau with another "mystery" individual related to negotiations over the deal. Last year, Suaram through its lawyers in France - Bourdon and his team - filed a case with prosecutors in Paris over claims that French defence giant DCNS paid RM540 million in commission to Perimekar. Payment of commissions is illegal under French laws. 

The French probe revealed another 30 million euros (RM150 million) were paid to DCN's commercial network Thales and another 2.5 million euros (RM7.5 million) paid to an "unknown" recipient. The Malaysian Defence Ministry has however denied that commissions were paid for the two submarines. In a written parliamentary reply, Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that the government had only made payments to two contractors - France's DCNS and Spain's Navantia - for the construction of the submarines. Perimekar on the other hand, was paid for "coordination services" for the Malaysian submarine crew, added Ahmad Zahid, who said he wasready to testify in court on the matter.Funds needed for legal costs 

Meanwhile, Cynthia said that Suaram was organising the dinner in the three cities to raise public awareness of how taxpayers funds are being spent on arms procurement in the country. "Everyone has the right to know the truth and seek answers about where our money goes when it comes to these arms deals," she told reporters in George Town. "This is a campaign by Malaysians, not Suaram alone, to promote transparency in arms procurement," she added. "We are fundraising because when the case goes to open court - perhaps sometime in August, we need to pay for legal costs," she stressed. Bourden's team works at Sherpa, a non-profit organisation that advocates corporate social responsibility, and it has been providing pro bono services for Suaram thus far. Suaram hopes to raise about RM100,000 to cover the legal costs. Other than selling seats for the three dinner events, the NGO is also seeking donations.

The pair of bangles with 3,424 diamond stones, allegedly owned by Rosmah Mansor, is worth RM1.65 million, according to fine jewellers Jacob & Co.
In an e-mail communique to FMT, the New-York based jewellers said the price for the pair of bangles is US$540,000 (RM1.65 million).
Jacob & Co said each 18k white gold bangle is fitted with 1,712 diamond stones and weighed 137.31 grams.
“Each bangle is studded with 751 stones 30.00ct of black diamonds and 34.50ct 961 stones of fancy intense white diamonds,” the company added.
Yesterday, a pro-Pakatan Rakyat blogger published a photograph of Rosmah sporting a pair of bangles which looked strikingly similar to Jacob & Co’s “Zebra Safari” collection.
Prior to that, bloggers had claimed that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s wife had acquired a diamond ring from the same jewellers, worth a whopping RM73 million.
The bloggers identified the item as a “Natural Fancy Blue Gray Cushion Cut Diamond Ring”. It had supposedly passed through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport customs in April this year.
Screenshots of the alleged customs computer displays also revealed that the ring did not have import duties imposed on it.
Yesterday, a NGO filed a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Penang over the matter.

The United States yesterday voiced concern about Malaysia's weekend crackdown on an opposition-backed rally and said it would keep an eye on developments.Riot police fired tear gas and water cannon to end last Saturday's electoral reform rally and arrested more than 1,600 people.One man died during the rally. His family said he collapsed after fleeing tear gas, while police said he was a bystander who died of a heart attack.“We do have some concerns,” State Department spokesperson Mark Toner told reporters. “We... continue to stand for the right for people to freely express their democratic aspirations and express their views freely.“I would stress that those must be peaceful demonstrations,” Toner said. “We continue to monitor the situation closely.”Malaysia has promised to investigate allegations of police brutality. Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has defended the police, saying the rally was a ploy to tarnish the country's image.International human rights groups strongly criticised the crackdown and urged the United States and other countries to put pressure on Malaysia to ensure accountability.“The Malaysian government should launch a prompt, impartial, and transparent investigation into the use of excessive force and unwarranted arrests by the security forces,” New York-based Human Rights Watch said in a statement.Malaysia has been looking to build closer relations with the United States amid an effort by President Barack Obama's administration to reach out to South-East Asia.Malaysia and the United States have long been major trading partners but political relations have been uneasy, particularly during the 22-year-rule of Mahathir Mohamad - an outspoken critic of US foreign policy.The United States has also been concerned about the treatment of opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who spent six years in jail and is again on trial on allegations of sodomy, which is illegal in the Muslim-majority nation. Anwar says that the charges are politically motivated.Obama invited Najib to Washington in April 2010 for a major summit on nuclear security and met him on the sidelines. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Malaysia in November.

RR73 mil diamond ring for Rosmah?

OMG..The report below was recieved from a friend of mine who is also the owner of Photo Today . If the information is correct than Najib has to step down to enable government agency like MACC, police, Immigration to do their job without being interference from Najib. When I look at the diamond ring supposedly belong to Rosmah Mansor, deep inside I asked myself how much is Najib salary or allowance? This also remind me how poor the women of the longhouse. To the Iban especially the women out there...The price of Rosmah's diamond is enough to supply electricity to more than 5 longhouses!

PETALING JAYA: As Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak still reels from the Bersih 2.0 rally’s political aftershocks, a glittering new allegation has surfaced about his wife, Rosmah Mansor.

The self-styled First Lady had allegedly come into possession of a diamond ring, worth a whopping US$24 million (RM73.48 million) sometime in April this year.

A pro-Pakatan Rakyat blog called “Milo Suam” claimed that the ring was sent to Rosmah by the New York-based fine jewellers, Jacob & Co.

The blog claimed that the ring, identified as a “Natural Fancy Blue Gray Cushion Cut Diamond Ring” passed through the Kuala Lumpur International Airport customs and was cleared by a customs operations manager known as A Krishnan.
Screenshots of the alleged customs computer displays also revealed that the ring did not have import duties imposed on it.
The same display also indicated the value of the ring to be US$24.4 million.
The story of the ring had also spread to many other pro-Pakatan blogs.
According to a Forbes website, the ring is a “VVS2 clarity diamond mounted on a platinum ring surrounded by 414 diamonds in a micro-pave setting (3.48 cts.).”
Meanwhile, “Milo Suam” questioned Najib’s rationale in allegedly purchasing such an expensive item for his wife.
“While you were screaming in pain from being beaten by a police baton… there was someone who was enjoying wealth that she did not earn,” read the blog.
The blog also asked if Najib had misused his powers in allocating RM111 million to Rosmah for her woman-and-children-oriented programme, Permata, in the 2011 Budget.




Jacob & Co has an outlet in Malaysia through a local branch known as Yafriro Celebrer Le Temps Sdn Bhd, located at the Starhill Gallery luxury shopping mall in Jalan Bukit Bintang.
When contacted, Yafriro refused to comment on the alleged ring puchase by Rosmah
