I Could Not Find Any Reason Why Veteran Iban Leaders Like Jabu, Mawan and Masing Should Stay

 Compare to Pahang, Sarawak has so much natural resources and other resources that can generate money that can benefits the rakyat, but the people in Pahang enjoy more developments than the people of Sarawak.

Let's Get Rid Of These Useless Leaders in The Coming GE

 After working in this capital state of Pahang for almost 6 months, I start to wonder, why despite it richer than Pahang in term of natural resources, but why there were not much development being felt by the Sarawakian. After making some studies through observations and my encounter with some Pahangians, I concluded, the developments did not reach the majority of Sarawakians particularly the Ibans, because they are being led by the leaders whose mind was only to fill their own pockets first, and to change the livelihood of the people the last.

Being Iban myself, I put the blame on these three leaders who have been representing the Iban community for decades, namely Jabu, Masing and Mawan. For me these three leaders are only good at begging for votes from the Iban community in order to to win in the election. So far they had not dared to fight for their communities be it on economic, social and the education matters.

Jabu is popular for his speech in blaming the Iban for their drinking and gambling habits but he himself had been known to spend tens of thousand of Ringgits on liquor during the Gawai Hantu festival (or the Festival of the Ghosts). He also popularly known  in introducing the non-productive projects to the Iban,  for example the project Ikan Terubok, Projeck Kepayang and so forth ( I could provide failed-projects by Jabu here otherwise my posting will be too long. Alternatively readers can check this with the Iban in Betong and Sri Aman area who will be able to explain in detail). Other than being known with the failed-projects, Jabu and his family also very popular with robbing the Iban of their NCR lands. If one want to know in detail about Jabu family involvement in robbing the Iban of their NCR lands, one can always  check it  with the Land and Survey Department of Sarawak. Other than that, Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA) will be able to provide the data on the size of lands under the name of Empiang Jabu in their record.

The next useless Iban leader is William Mawan. Mawan is frrom Pakan , one of the poorest and the less developed area in Sarawak. Not much information  on his weakness that Bukit Tunggal.com can provide on him but sufficed to say that he is good at increasing the collections of  his girl friends.

Masing the President of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) the offshoot of Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS), an another BN component party that represents the Iban. Personally I look at this minister as a leader who only knows on  how to play "the game blame" but zero contribution to the Iban. In the era of PBDS, he was one of the Iban leaders which every Iban had thought that will fight and will be able to uplift the living standard of the Iban. But after PBDS joined BN, he had became the  another useless Iban leaders who only knows how to fill his own pocket.

Politically, the  Dayak or Iban since Sarawak Independence in 1963 had been very loyal, and majority of them voted for Barisan Nasional (BN) or popularly known as "perintah" by them. Despite of their loyalty, the Iban  had been cheated and promised with empty promise for development by the BN leaders . But after 49 years under BN, not much developments have reached them. And If the people of Sarawak or particularly the Iban want to have more developments to reach them, they should consider giving the Pakatan Rakyat a chance to rule Petra Jaya and Putra Jaya. This is only possible if the people of Sarawak or Iban changing their supports toward the Pakatan Rakyat in the coming general election (GE 13 ).

Taib Kata Jabu BODOH Jadi Tidak Layak Jadi KM Sarawak!

Semasa Pilihanraya negeri yang dicetuskan oleh peristiwa Ming Court Taib berjanji untuk menyerahkan kuasa kepada pemimpin yang kedua terkanan. Semalam apabila ditanya oleh penggantinya dia tidak menamakan Jabu Numpang kerana dia tahu bahawa orang nombor duanya itu adalah orang yang BODOH. Bodoh sangatkah Jabu Numpang?

Ini bukan pasal April Fool tetapi sebagai memetik apa yang Taib Mahmud kata seperti yang ditulis oleh Berita Harian hari ini apabila ditanya tentang penggantinya.

Pada tahun 1987 semasa pilihanraya negeri Sarawak yang dicetuskan oleh peristiwa Ming Court, untuk menarik sokongan pengundi Iban Taib Mahmud telah menabur janji dengan mengatakan bahawa penggantinya kelak mestilah daripada pemimpin parti yang kedua kanan selepasnya. Pada masa itu pemimpin PBB yang paling kanan adalah Jabu Numpang.

Tetapi setelah lebih kurang 24 tahun menabur janji kepada kaum Iban serta Jabu Numpang khasnya, semalam seperti yang dilaporkan oleh Berita Harian semasa ditanya oleh pemberita tentang bakal  penggantinya beliau telah memberitahu pemberita bahawa dia hanya akan menyerahkan jawatannya kepada penggantinya yang mempunyai kriteria yang bijak-pandai. Tetapi kenapa pula dia tidak menjawab bahawa dia akan digantikan ataupun menyerah kuasanya kepada pemimpin PBB yang paling kanan selepas beliau ?

Mengingat kembali janjinya kepada kaum dayak/Iban semasa pilihan raya negeri tahun 1987, serta janji yang dibuatnya semalam yang berkehendakkan bahawa penggantinya mestilah daripada pemimpin PBB yang bijak maka tahulah kita bahawa dalam perkataan lain, Jabu tidak akan menggantikannya kerana Jabu BODOH. Ah..memang Jabu BODOH..akupun mengaku.

Sejarah akan dilakarkan bahawa pemimpin Iban yang mengakibatkan kejatuhan kuasa kaum Iban/dayak di Borneo adalah kerana kebodohan Jabu. Semasa pilihanraya tahun 1987, semangat Dayakism memang kuat kalau tak percaya tanya Jemut Masing. Tapi akhirnya PBDS serta PERMAS telah kalah. Ditambah dengan beberapa orang pemimpin Parti PBDS berpaling tadah, maka kuasa Taib telah menjadi bertambah kuat maka bermulalah terkuburnya kuasa politik Iban/dayak.

Jadi kepada kaum Dayak, saya ingin menyeru bahawa  masih belum terlambat lagi untuk kita mengajar Taib, Jabu serta beberapa pemimpin Iban yang berpaling tadah seperti Jemut Masing, Geramong Juna dan lain-lain dengan tidak menyokong calon Barisan Nasional pada pilihanraya negeri sarawak yang akan diadakan pada 16th April 2011, sebaliknya CONTENGLAH calon SNAP...

Jabu Is Indeed an NCR Land Robber Himself

I was stunned today upon reading in Brokenshield that Jabu himself actually is the robber of the NCR lands which are mostly belong to the Iban, the same people that voted for him.

According to the data in the Brokenshields, Jabu and his cronies so far have a total of 4372.925 ha of NCR lands approved for oil  palm plantation.

Please check on the companies below:-

(1) Durafarm Sdn Bhd, Suite 502, Tingkat 5, Crown Towers, Kuching has three areas: Lot 17 Block 5 Bijat Land District, Simanggang – 26.625 ha; Lot 21 Block 12 Bijat Land District – 1248 ha; Lot 9 Block 3 Skrang Land District – 307.2 ha.

Total approved 1581.825 ha for 60 years on 4 December 2000. Contact person is Robert Lawson Chuat, YB for Bukit Saban, a nephew of Jabu.

(2). Durafam at the same address has five areas: Lot 30 Block 12, Paku Land District, Betong – 110.6 ha; Lot 1 Block 15 Paku Land District, Betong – 936 ha; Lot 219 Block 7 Batu Api Land District, Betong – 969 ha; Lot 36 Block 12 Batu Api Land District, Betong – 437 ha; and Lot 38 Block 12 Batu Api Land District, Betong – 219.5 ha.

For all this while, we have been blaming the White Haired Hajah alone for the NCR Lands problems faced by the Iban. But after looking at the data I am afraid this "scam" may involve the other Iban BN politicians like James Masing, William Mawan and etc....
To all the Ibans out there, wake-up now...the leaders that you have voted and entrusted to protect your most valuable assets are actually the persons that robbed your land from you. Remember to EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS BY NOT VOTING FOR THEM IN THE COMING ELECTIONS......

Dayak Leaders Can Fool The Dayak But Not PAKATAN RAKYAT

Dayak leaders need to accept the fact that they cannot fool their own people as Pakatan Rakyat are watching them. Their latest blunder was highlighted by Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng. Lim Guang E ng during his visit to Sarawak suggested for the formation of Dayak Endowment Board (DEB) to help the marginalised and the poor Iban-Dayak. According to Lim, with the board in place, the government would not only be helping in terms of money, but also opportunities.

“I’m just saying that we want to help those who have been marginalised. So I do not see what is wrong in helping them. Are we going to allow them to continue to be marginalised?” he said to The Borneo Post during a DAP gathering called “A Night With Guan Eng” at Batu Kawa here on Thursday.

His proposal with DEB has been wrongly intrepated by majority (if not all) of the Iban-Dayak leaders from Barisan Nasional. They did not want to accept the fact that Iban-dayak are being marginalised and amongst the poorest in Malaysia. Some of them even went on and dared Lim Guan Eng to visit the longhouses.

YB Snowdan Lawan, the State Assemblyman ( YB) for N25 Balai Ringin (where Bukit Tunggal is located) disagreed with Lim opinion, and said that the households in his constituency earned a monthly income of RM500 or more (less than 25% where as another 75% under poverty).

“I know my area very well. Many of the children are working overseas earning RM10,000 or RM15,000 per month. I do not think it is true that rural families earn RM200 or less a month. At least, not in my constituency, otherwise they will not be able to have a car or a van to transport their crops to the market,” .

YB Snowdan Lawan should cut the crap and wake up from your sleep and Stop dreaming. I dare you if you can proof to me that 5% (just 5%) the people from the longhouses in your contituecy can afford to buy Kanchil or van as claimed by you, I will sacrifice by closing this blog,and if that is not enough, I'll throw my vote to you forever.

When I read this YB statement in Borneo Post yesterday, I laughed. How could, a YB of the most poorest contituency in Sarawak dared Lim Guang Eng , a Chief Minister of one of the richest state in Malaysia to visit the longhouses in his contituency. Was it a joke ? To YB Snowdan, do you want me to take the photograph of some of the longhouses in your constituency like Sg. Tenggang, Aping, Dadak, Abok, Empaling, Tekuyong, Ubah, Isu..etc, and put them here in my blog so that the whole world know that you lied to them?

I would like to remind you to STOP using the size of Sarawak as an excuse for not developing the Iban-Dayak. You and your band of f*cking Iban-Dayak leaders in BN have been cheated by Taib Mahmud to use this excuse agains your own people.

We all knew that all of the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN are not clever, but please do not show to the whole world that you all (the Iban-Dayak leaders in BN) are stupid.....

Instead of asking Lim Guang Eng to visit the longhouses, you and the rest of your STUPID and F*CKING Iban-Dayak leaders in BN, should organise a working visit to the two States under Pakatan Rakyat rules , Selangor and Penang. See the developments in the kampong there with your own eyes. Came back from there, and if you are not happy with the development of the longhouses in your contituencies , send a petition to Tok Uban and Alantuya lover request for more development for Iban-Dayak areas.

All the F*cking Iban-Dayak Politicians in Barisan Nasional must now realised that the era where the leader can bluff the voters in the longhouses has past......Please be careful with what you said in the future...

Willful Stupidity By Manyin Jawong and Jemut Masing

Since the absence of Jabu Numpang or nickname Tok Uban Ballcarrier from dayak politic, few dayak leaders have been trying their lucks to replace him. They tried so many efforts in order to impress Tok Uban. Amongst the dayak leaders that have been trying to fill-up the vacum are Entulu Belaun, Manyin Jawong and Jemut Masing. (Joseph) Entulu Belaun (JE) was eliminated from the race last month after his controversy suggestion to drop the word dayak, which he made about one week before Gawai Dayak this year, had enraged most of the dayaks in Sarawak. With JE exclusion from the race, the competition for the Ballcarrier Post became a head to head fight between Manyin and Jemut.

Both sides try to impress tok Uban with their actions and remarks. In the process, they make the blunder sometimes. The most recent blunders by Manyin and Jemut Masing were :-

Manyin Jawong.

Manyin Jawong made his first blunder when he remind the 60 participants who present at a ‘Bicara Gemilang’ dialogue held at Ranchan Recreational Retreat in Serian on Wednesday, 1st July 2009. In his speech Manyin reminded those present not to change current Barisan Nasional government as it could cost Sarawakians their basic rights.

He felt disturbed by some Sarawakians who called for change of government and leadership using peninsula-based Pakatan Rakyat as their political platform.

“This is dangerous because it could result in Sarawak losing its rights as contained in the 20-point agreement when it helped to form Malaysia in 1963".

This stupid minister blatantly bluffed or try to mislead the participants with this Peninsular based party sentiment without telling them the truth that Barisan Nasional is also a Peninsular malaysia based party. Another blunder that he made was on the 20-Point Agreements. Just wonder whether he read the 20 Point Agreements before. But the way how the speech was delivered, in my opinion he has not read it yet.Because if he did, he should be able to differentiate between the 20 Point Agreement and the 18 Points Agreement. Check your facts Manyin !! Manyin should not talk about the 20 Points Agreement not because he did not fully understand its contents alone, but the points could anger his boss in Peninsular Malayss. Manyin must remember that he and the Bidayuh communities are owing PM Najib and Barisan Nasional RM 1 Million, the amount that was pledged by Najib during his Official visit to Sarawak recently.Further blunder by Manyin could cost him and the Bidayuh communities this RM 1 Million. On the 20 the Points Agreement, such as in matters related to immigration, labour and land ownership, he said Sarawakians must recognise the fact that even after 46 years of independence they had yet to have the ability and capacity to compete without the safeguard provided by the 20-point agreement. On the said matters, who are to be blamed, is it the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) or the Barisan Nasional (BN)? Dont tell us that after 46 years under BN we still could not compete with all the big firms from Peninsular. Dont tell us that we have to wait for another 46 years? Therefore the best approach for us(Sarawak) now is CHANGE! Change the BN Government NOW or NEVER.

JEMUT MASING Another Dayak leader that also trying his luck to replace Jabu as Tok Uban Ballcarrier and representing the Dayak Communities is Jemut Masing (JM). JM , since the deregistration of the PBDS, he has been seen as a traitor by most of the Dayaks. For me, JM nowadays is totally different from the person that I saw in the 80's. He is totally different from JM that I knew before...JM is dead. The recent blunder that JM made to mislead the Iban Dayak was on Wednesday, 1st july 2009. During his visit to Anchi longhouse in Kapit he urged the people of Rumah Anchi to appreciate the Government Assistance rendered to them by supporting the government during the election. This is a true blunder by Masing. He mislead the longhouse people by saying that the Assistance was from the Barisan Nasional ( Perintah in Iban). Was it really from BN ? What he did not explain to the people was on the source of the money. Typical Iban leaders from BN who would bluffed the longhouse people in order to get their votes, Masing also did the same thing. He bluffed the people by telling them that the Assistance came from BN and not from the tax payer monies, thetrefore they must Vote for BN....!This is how BN bluffed and brainstorm the rural people in order to win their votes. But Masing, you must remember that we are out here...We saw and we heard you, and we will tell our people in the long house about you blunder.... Mupok aku

Breaking News - Jabu is Admitted to Hospital For Heart Surgery

I was quite surprised last week when I read in the local newspaper that Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Jabu was not involved in the one year suspension of Bukit Assek Assemblyman YB Wong Ho Leng from DUN.

Last week 60 BN Assemblymen suspended YB Wong Ho Leng for using the word “camouflage” against Datuk Wong Soon Koh during DUN sitting November last year.

YB Wong suspension which I called as “May the 13th” for Sarawak politic was proposed by Jemut Masing. All this while, Tan Sri Jabu has been known as the hard critique of Opposition especially in defending his boss. He will do whatever it take to humiliate them.The question of Tan Sri Jabu absent from Sarawak politic was answered this morning when the reliable sources informed Bukit Tunggal that Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu had been admitted to hospital for an emergency heart by-pass operation.

If the new is true, I hope that Tan Sri can recover soon from the operation and be able to give his Gawai Dayak advise to the Dayak particulay Iban which gawai Dayak is just around the corner.

This hope is not so much about the vacum that he is going to leave supposely he is bedridden for the rest of his life , as the BN government still have few Iban leaders (with the same caliber) that can take up his role as the "great Iban leader" of his time. These Iban leaders such as Jemut Masing, Mawan Ikom..etc. are always ready to play the role.

To all the dayak especially the Iban , let's all pray for the fast recovery of Tan Sri Jabu so that EC doesn’t has to call for another by election. Being the Iban myself, I dont want to see another split in the Iban community just like what Mussen and Masing had done in Lubok Antu (Batang Ai.

Tan Sri Jabu -The Dude of Dayak Politic

Tan Sri Alfred Jabu ak Numpang has been in the politic for more than 35 years, long enough to help the communities out of  its "black era". Unlike his "beloved Chief Minister” who had transformed Melanau into one of the elite community in Sarawak, but he had failed to do so to his community. His approach to tackle Iban backwarness is through critic without  action (or NATO -No Action Talk Only approach). From day one in politic he has been representing the Iban majority area and this can be translated that he has been the leader for Iban community for more than 35 years.

In his speech at the function organised by Rurum Kelabit Sarawak (RKS) he lamented that some of the Ibans , who formed the majority of the dayaks, still spents their time and money in the wasteful habits such as drinking, cock fighting and gamblings which had hindered the community from producing many successful people like the Kelabit did.

I admit that Kelabit with total population of about 6500 is one of the most successful native in Sarawak apart from Melanau. The community has produced few PHD holders, professionals, corporate figures and increased the number of graduates.

Drinking , cockfighting and gamblings (what gambling..is it anything to do with Toto, Magnum, Big Sweep and Da Ma Cai ) have been blended with our lives . But to blame such habit totally for our backwardness is a fallacy , and I am in the disagreement with Tan Sri Jabu on this. American, Korean, Japanese and the rest of the much developed communities in the world, they do drinking and gambling. Likewise in muslim countries in the middle east, their governments forbid drinking and gambling but it does not make them becoming  the most successful communities in the world.

Therefore the main reason why we are still behind in every aspects compared to the other groups in Sarawak is not because of our social life. The main reason is because we had been MARGINALISED by Barisan Nasional. This can be seen by looking at the basic aminities provided by the government (BN) to the minority groups such as our Bidayuh and Malay friends compared to the one provided to the Iban longhouses. Based on the statistic in year 2004, more than 85% of the Iban longhouses were not linking with roads and about 90% have no electricity. In the past the BN government always gave these two excuses for not linking roads and electricity with the Iban Community :

(1) The longhouses are scattered

(2) Sarawak is bigger compared to the other states in Peninsular thus difficult to develop.

Please do not use those lamb xcuses anymore as we are getting feedup with it.

Other than those two excuses, education such as condition and availabilty of schools also play an important role. To Jabu, do the survey, and find out what is the ratio between Iban population and the number of scools in the Iban majority area. Dont forget to look at the condition of the schools especially their hostels. After more than 35 years serving the Iban communities, do you think you have done enough (Please do not repeat the same bluffs made during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) on 21 Feb 2009.

If not than I (and majority of the Iban community) would like to urge you TO STEP DOWN NOW !
