Gawai Dayak Celebration - MP and State Assembly Members Under Performing Prevails

Gawai Dayak is supposed to be celebrated in a very jovial and happy mood. But this only can be achieved if the basic amenities such as electricity and water are met.
This year Gawai Dayak, the first and second day were celebrated in my longhouse, and then continued with the celebration at my in-law house in Sri Aman on third and fourth day of the gawai .
In the longhouse where there is no electricity, during this hot weather, the celebration was like hell. The one panel solar energy provided by ex YB Jimmy Donald about 10 years ago was far from enough to provide 24 hours power to the household. Therefore to provide enough energy, some of them have to buy the generator for themselves. The cost to operate the generator for 24hours electricity is about 16 litres of petrol per generator/household. Because of the high cost so the generator is only operating from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily. And they have to live without electricity for the rest of the day. Just imagine during this dry and hot weather without fan (what to say air-cond.) ??? Can the Vision 2020 be achieved nationwide. Jabu and Masing must be day dreaming...
At my in-law house in Sri Aman where there is no electricity problem, but the people here have been affected by water woes for the past 10 years especially during Gawai Dayak and Christmas. Just wonder, which one is more important is it the Water Front project or the basic amneties such as water?
Another problem whic has been faced  by the people in Sri Aman especially the Anglican followers is a place of worship. Since St Luke church was destroyed in fire (about 8 years ago, sorry I could not remember the exact year it was destroyed) the government still could not provide fund to re-build the church. About 80% of the voters in Sri Aman are christian. Why can't the government help to rebuild the church? Why there is a double standard between religions in term of government Assistance ? Why are assistances only to be provided to Islam only? Aren't we all Malaysian ?
To all the Dayak Leaders or representatives such as the followings, if all of you feel that you are not capable to work for your people, do not seek for re-election in the coming election.

Eventhough we lost Batang Ai (N29) to BN but overall we won the election by 2-1. BRAVO Pakatan.

Batang Ai By-Election-The Sins and The Crimes Committed By Barisan Nasional

The report released by International Organisation on Corruption indicates that Malaysia is one of the most corrupted nation in the world. Corruption in Malaysia is rampant. It involve not only those who are in the reign of power, but also those who have no position or at lower heirachy of the organization.

Corruption practice can be clearly seen during this on-going Batang Ai By-Election. Peter John the head of MAFREL (Malaysia For Fair & Free Election ) for N29 who had been stationed in LA to observe the election since the nomination day until this weekend have this to say (taken from Brokenshield) :-

1) During nomination day (29/3/09) we felt that the police should not have confisticated PAS flags, only returned after vehement protest from PKR. What puzzled us most was why the police allowed SUPP flags among the BN crowd. Report and photos taken during the incident has been submitted to HQ KL for further action.

2) BN candidate election posters were pestered a day before the nomination date. This is a gross defiance of the by-election conduct. We had taken photographs of those posters at Ng. Mepi longhouse. This was by no mean an isolated case because we found the same in other longhouses.

3) It was common sight to see BN giving away gifts of all sorts to the people in the constituency. We have pictorial evidences to that effect but I don’t think its wise me to disclose them here.

4) Misused of government vehicles is very rampant and seem to be an acceptable norm among BN officials. We took photos of not less than 47 SG vehicles either parked near the BN “ceramah” or near their operation rooms since nomination. During the nomination day alone we sighted not less than 120 SG vehicles not far from the nomination centre.

Conclusions By MAFREL

• Riggings in this by-election are rampant and sad to say that the words “CLEANS, FAIR & FREE ELECTION does not exist in Batang Ai by-election vocabulary.
• MAFREL (Batang Ai) had reached a conclusion that Batang Ai by-election is where politic is at its worst. It’s here that money politics rear its ugly head. By all accounts I dared says that Batang Ai by-election is the dirtiest, most unfair & expensive in Malaysian election history.

Based on the report and conclusions by MAFREL the best option for EC is to call-off N29 by-election and the matter must be not laughed out of the court.

Updates On Batang-Ai By-Election

1) 3/4/2009 , Batang Ai A Gift to Najib-Said Jabu. Jabu is, on the whole not a good leader for Iban. Batang Ai by majority is inhabit by Iban. By saying that by winning Batang Ai by election is consider a present from Sarawak Barisan Nasional to the new PM. Jabu as we all knew, has been trying to promote himself as the Iban paramount leader, the same status given by the Kadazan to their disgraced leader Joseph Pairin Kitingan. To qualify himself as the Iban leader for Iban community , Jabu must first of all must be able to protect the interest of the Iban, for example our obsolute right towards our own land (NCR land), to uplift the level of education and social economic of the Iban, just like our Chinese and Malay friends we, the Iban should also be entitled for the basic amenities, and last but not least.. Jabu you’re not brave enough and always cop out to fulfill Tok Uban wishes, so do you think that you are qualified as our leader??. Whether BN win or not in Lubok Antu , Iban shouldn’t be an object of sacrifice for your personal gain. Enough is enough. We have been suffering for more than 20 years under Tok Uban Regime. After sacrificing us to Tok Uban, now he want to sacrifice us to the another most corrupted leader and the mur…er. 2) 3/4/2009, Out Of the Contact –Awang Tengah. This stupid minister has no other reason to condemn and humiliated DSAI just blindly accusing DSAI politic as politic for personal. Check you fact correctly . Since PKR inception to Malaysian politic in 1999, it has changed the Malaysian Politic landscaped successfully. Before 1999 election, DAP and PAS has no match for BN…they were KING. But with PKR inceptions BN cannot fool around anymore. One more thing that I want to share with you Tengah is that about 200 years ago, Iban emigrated from Indonesia to Sarawak from Lemanak which is located in Lubok Antu nowadays. The history might repeat again. But this time it is about Iban political transformation through PKR. If we win in LA, we will spread our wing to the whole of Sarawak. As for Awang Tengah assurance that electricity will “reach” Lubok Antu one day….I guess probably for another 25 years from today ! 3) 3/4/2009, Mussen Promise – The BN Candidate promised that if he win the election, he will mend the rift among BN and PKR supports as the first thing that he will do. How sure is he that this can be done in a very short time or when the damaged had been done. What about the rift between PRS (self appointed) President and PESAKA President as the rift has became wider and just a matter of time will explode. 4) 3/4/2009 No Gangsters or Illegal Betting in LA Said Datuk Mohamad Saleh, state CP. I am in the agreement with Sarawak CP that there’s no gangster and gamblers involved in N29 by-election, But what about the acts of gangsterism in BN camp. They have been kidnapping the long house chief, threaten them and their anembiaks with their Tuai Rumah monthly allowances the MRP projects. The above actions are the same with the protection money practice by gangsters. 5) 4/4/2009. A man without party Salang claimed that Bloggers have little impact on Outcome of the Election . By all means you can ignore what is written by bloggers as most of the longhouse folks have no access to internet. Could it be the justification why BN government for more than 46 years have deprived Iban from development??? Remember that most of Iban younger generations that live in the urban are the strong supporter of PKR. And one more thing Salang, you failed to understand the message of the bloggers..KEEP DREAMING. 6) 4/4/2009, Jawah is a “Recycled” Object Said Mahyuddin. I only have this for this useless minister. You have less than 1 year to occupy your existing DPM post. By less than one year Najib will appoint his cousin or PAKATAN will take over the government. Look at this very popular theory on Malaysian Prime Minister :- RahmanAbdul razakHussienonnMahathirmohamadAbdullahahmadNajibAnwarL...H…A…J . As you can see Mahyuddin, there's no more letter M, therefore you have no chance to become the next PM….Mahyuddin your time is near. 7) 4/4/2009, Awang Tengah Hit Out At PKR For Inciting Rakyat. WHO INCITE WHO. Awang Tengah you need to explain these to the Iban or the people of LA during your campaign trail,,,(1) Land title for all NCR lands (2) About the corrupt practices among BN leaders , lead by Tok Uban (3) The use of word “Allah” among Christian (4) malpractice and cronyism in BN 8) 4/4/2009 , Mahyuddin Yassin “Presented” RM 1.5 Million For People Of LA. Bad example from Bad BN ;leader…another corruption and abuse of power by BN. Will MACC take necessary action ???

LA By-Election-Rift Widens Between Two Traitors Of Dayakism ?

Lubok Antu by election could see the rift between two leaders from Barisan Nasional Jemut Masing (PRS President) and Jabu Numpang (PESAKA head) widen. According to one of the volunteer that administers BN Ops room in Lubok Antu, the two leaders have been loggerhead with each other since day one LA by-election being announced by EC. The rift between the two traitors widen due to followings issues:-

(1) Disagreement over BN Candidate for LA By-election. Mussen was not a candidate submitted by Masing to Tok Uban. His name was was submitted by Jabu.

(2) Disagreement over campaign strategy –probably on a way how to explain on NCR land issue.

(3) Not Happy With BN Posters and Banners in LA- Jabu was not happy with BN posters/banners in LA because his photo was not included.

The rift between the two "dayak traitors" has been started since March 2008. According to the another reliable source met, the loggerhead between them started when the list of candidates for March 2008 election submitted by Masing to Tok Uban was rejected and replaced with the list submitted by Jabu. William Nyalau and Masir Kujat were both the PBB members. Their names were proposed by Jabu and Donal Lawan respectively.

Just a matter of time, subsequently as many believe, the rift between the two traitors sure will be exploded…. For all the people of LA, be wised when cast your vote…If you vote for Mussen mean you are supporting these Two traitors of “Dayakism”

PKR Will Spread it Wings In Sarawak..LD is Lubok Antu/N29

LA...The history repeat again for Lemanak/batang Ai/Lubok Antu!
7th April 2009 is going to be a very important day for all the Iban in Sarawak particularly those who are from LA.
Oral history which has been passing from generation to the generation, about the migration of Iban from kapuas to sarawak hundreds of years. According to the oral history, Iban first came to Sarawak through LA before they spread all over Sarawak to where we are today. On 7th April 2009 the history will repeat again but this time it is more incline to our migration in politic, Yes..we will spread our political strength to the other part of Sarawak through PKR....Jawah is going to be the first dayak leader to use PKR ticket..If we win, just like what our forefather done in the past, PKR will spread it wing to all parts of Sarawak...God willing
Yesterday together with the others PKR supporters from Kuching we went to LA. The main reason was to give morale support to our brothers and sisters in LA and also to listen to the important speech by our leader -DSAI . We were supposed to arrived in LA on time before 8.00pm but due to the condition of LA road without, any street lights (despite Batang Ai hydro capability to supply the electricity to Kuching and Peninsular but its still cannot provide electricity to it own people ).
Those who read this posting by now should realised the that BN had done nothing to develops its people..just imagine after 46 years in Power, it stll could not provide electricity to the people of Sarawak particularly in LA..This coming election you have power to VOTE BN OUT !

Barefaced Liar Masing

The people of Lubok Antu should not/never trust this Bacu Minister from BN. Yesterday he denied the allegations made by DSAI, on the dirty tactic employed by his party (PRS/BN). DSAI earlier accused JJMB given away the "instant Noodle" projects , and also on the letter sent by the Land Survey Department of Sri Aman (Agent for BN) to all the voters in Batang Ai asking for their bank account number ( I srongly believed that PRS/BN inteded to bank in substantial amount of monies to their bank accounts). He arrogantly demanded DSAI to show the proof.

Well JJMB you asked for it ! Today one of the popular blogger Brokenshield had managed to get a copy of supposely letter from the Land Survey Department Sri Aman to all the voters in N29(to be specific) requested for their Account Number. Well Masing the JJMB, the onus is on you to proof that the letter was not true....If you cannot provide the proof that the letter is not genuine..you have to relenguish your self-appointed BN's Director Of Election post IMMEDIATELY !

The voters in LA should never trust this barefaced liar (means one who displays no shame about lying even if they are exposed ). We have been cheated by this JJMB + barefaced liar for more than 22 years. Get rid of him by throw your support to PKR candidadte (YB) Jawah Gerang.

Pighead Iban Deputy Minister Thanking his Boss in Borneo Post For Nothing

This pigheaded and pokey looking guy minister from the ruling coalition Barisan Nasional , in conjunction with his Boss 28th Anniversary’s as a Chief Minister Of Sarawak, once again trying to impress his master by publish his thank you note in Borneo post.

Being a Sarawakian myself Tok Uban ONLY contributions are : Successfully turn himself and all his family members’ status from an ordinary people (a fisherman) into the most powerful and richest family in Sarawak and for the dayak we had lost our NCR and our right to live comfortably.

PKR Battle Ground-Jawah Gerang Is The Man!

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) yesterday made an announcement that PKR has chosen (YB) Jawah Gerang as it candidate for Batang Ai by-election which will be held by 7th April 2009. Jawah Gerang is not a new face for people of Lubok Antu. Prior to March 2008 election he was the MP for Lubok Antu for five terms. In March 2008 election he was replaced by a stupid Iban politician William Nyallau which most of PRS members believed was a work of PBB senior members behind the scene. Whereas Jawah opponent Malcom Mussen Lamoh from BN contrary to the claimed made by BN's Election Director James Jemut Masing the Bacu (JJMB) which said that he is the most qualified candidate in term of education and experience, but has zero experience in politic. He was plucked from the "street" by JJMB, just like what he did to Lantak Amin during March 2008 election. DSAI has announced the name of the PKR candidate officially therefore its time for both fictions to patch-up the differences with an open arm and to put one’s foot down in order to win the election against the mighty BN. BN is superiority to us in term of financial, Logistic support and the other resources. They started mobilizing all the government agencies and disbursed all the MRP projects and assistance , way before the announcement by EC. I have been informed by the reliable source that Snowdan Lawan a MP for Balai Ringin on 22nd March 2009 had called all the long house heads from Batang Ai for a study trip in Kuching, the state capital of Sarawak. Is this not a corruption or abuse of power? Party member and volunteers on the ground must work extra harder and to strain every nerve to capture Batang Ai from BN so as to end our more than 35 years suffering and humiliating under the BN. To all my brothers and sisters from Lubok Antu, I only have this to say :- PEOPLE OF LUBOK ANTU,
