Najib declares open the rural electricity project in saratok during his first day visit to Sarawak...A Political Bribery by BN Government!

Its Najib second day in Sarawak today. Yesterday he visited Saratok, Sri Aman and Simunjan. All of the areas were in the rural. And almost all of the areas that he visited were to open the electricity power grid and to declare open the "a must" government project.

In peninsular Malaysia, only the orang asli areas which are not accessible by road have no electricity whereby in Sarawak, about 90% of the longhouses which are accessible by road but still have no electricity. And yesterday the rural electrity in Lachau that he launched was to fulfill his promised during the year 2006 election, and yet he dared to say that Tsunami will not affect Sarawak as the BN government was busy developing the rural areas. But PM Najib was wrong. If his father Tun Abdul Razak still alive, he will be disappointed to see that the same village that he had visited 40 years ago still in the same condition, without electricity and the accessible road.

Therefore Najib was wronged when he said that the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will not be able to wrest Sarawak from BN in the coming election. BN may win in Mukah and Betong but not in the other areas. So far BN government under it longest serving Chief Minister still fail to handle the natives most precious asset that is their NCR land. So far no effort has been made by the state BN government to ensure that their NCR lands are protected.

Whereas for PR especially the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in it Harapan Baru Untuk Malaysia : 5 JANJI

(5Promises) promises better alternative for the rural people of Sarawak (especially the natives).

Keputusan Pilihanraya Permatang Pasir - BN Candidate Blamed Chinese For the Defeat

PERMATANG PASIR BY-ELECTION, NAJIB AND MAHYUDDIN CANDIDATE DEFEATED WITH MORE THAN 4000 MARGIN..CONGRATULATIONS PAKATAN RAKYAT!

Permatang Pasir, August 25, 2009.

It was officially announced that PAS candidate defeated BN by 4451 majority. Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Rohaizat Othman today hinted that one of the factors that could have caused his defeat was the “failure of the Chinese community to fulfill their promises of support”, in an indication that the racial rhetoric played and used against their rivals by the ruling coalition may have backfired. Rohaizat lost to PAS Penang commissioner Mohd Salleh Man by a 4,551 majority. The former garnered 5,061 votes while the PAS leader more or less retained their majority, considering the drop in voter turnout compared to the general elections last year, by raking in 9,618 votes. Speaking to a press conference here, Rohaizat revealed that his campaign's observation indicated that the support from the Chinese community here was dissapointing. “I am saddened by the fact that the Chinese community here have failed to fulfill their vows of support. They have failed to understand the concept of development that BN is trying to bring to the people of Permatang Pasir,” said Rohaizat. The Umno man, however, refused to elaborate why he thought Chinese support was not forthcoming, saying that he would leave it to the central leadership to conduct a post-mortem to reveal the reasons. “It's premature for me to give any reasons now,” he added. The Chinese make up 27 per cent of Permatang Pasir's population. BN have engaged in a vigorous attempt to regain much of the non-Malay votes that went to Pakatan Rakyat. BN have tried to depict their election rival PAS as a threat to the Chinese by using sensitive issues like the pig abbatoir closure in Kedah and beer sale issue in Selangor against the Islamist party. Analysts believe BN were making inroads among the Chinese here but efforts to translate them into votes faltered after Rohaizat's disbarment apparently became a deterrent. But as for the Malay votes, Rohaizat said the number of votes gained by both sides showed just a slight difference from that of the general elections outcome. The former Permatang Pasir assemblyman, the late Datuk Mohd Hamdan Abdul Rahman won with a 5,433 majority when he gained 11,004 votes against BN's Ahmad Sahar Shuib who managed to garner 5,571 votes. “So today's result show that as far as Malay support is concerned, it is still very much the same,” he said. BN deputy chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin also thought that, in terms of Malay support, their voting pattern remained the same but claimed the ruling coalition had made slight gains. “Our studies have shown that there is not much difference in voting pattern. There are slight differences but are nominal ones,” he said, adding that the ruling coalition accepted the defeat with an open heart.

Ini adalah penting bagi menjamin Keadilan Sosial Untuk Semua agar tiada lagi bumiputera atau kaum yang terpinggir dan mundur Ketiga , adalah langkah penyusunan semula pasukan polis untuk menjadikannya badan PENCEGAHAN JENAYAH yang berkesan bersama agensi penguatkuasaan yang lain dan memastikannya bebas daripada pengaruh politik dan rasuah. Keempat, kami turut berjanji akan MENGURANGKAN BEBAN HIDUP rakyat dengan menurunkan harga minyak, tol serta pelbagai tarif lain disamping membekalkan barang keperluan yang mencukupi & memperjuangkan gaji minimum sebanyak RM 1,500.00. Kelima, kami berikrar akan mencipta HARAPAN BARU untuk masa depan Malaysia dengan menjamin pendidikan percuma dan memastikan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah, kolej dan Universiti di Malaysia adalah yang terbaik di rantau Asia Tenggara. Secara ringkasnya, 5 Janji ini merangkumi 5 perkara utama, iaitu menjanjikan sebuah negara madani yang adil dan saksama tidak mengira agama dan kaum, menjadikan negara ini aman dari cengkaman jenayah, mengurangkan beban hidup rakyat akibat inflasi yang tinggi serta menjadikan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi negara menjadi pusat pendidikan yang terbaik di rantau Asia Tenggara.

Jadi untuk rakyat Malaysia...sertailah perjuangan PKR.

Untuk mengatasi masalah kaum Iban-Dayak yang telah 45 tahun ditindas oleh Kerajaan Barisan Nasional, PKR mempunyai manifiesto khas untuk mengeluarkan kaum tersebut daripad kesan ditindas oleh Taib Mahmud. Nantikan seterusnya posting saya yang bertajuk "Polisi Harapan Baru Untuk Sarawak" yang diabstrak daripada kertas Kerja yang disampaikan oleh Sdra Augustine Liom pada Konvensyen Harapan Baru Sarawak bertempat di Crown Tower Kuching pada 28 Julai 2009.
