OCPD Brickfiel Errogance Behaviour and Insubordination Acts Toward PKR Reps

After watching this Video, I had a feeling that PDRM, is planning something in assisting the Barisan Nasional(BN) to topple the Pakatan Rakyat government illegally
Just look at the action of this OCPD. He Did not show any respect to the PKR MPs that were present in the function what to say rendered  them a salute? Not only that, he was just walked to the stage, calls his men and roughly get the microphone from YB Tian Chua.
Who is this OCPD? Which police force is he belong to? For me being the ex-member of the Armed Forces, he doesnt look like that he is from the uniform body. He is more fit to be a member of the  gangster.
Lets the whole world see his behaviour here!

Malaysia rejects call to release 10,000 Bibles-1malaysia Blunder and Rethoric!

Wednesday, 4th Nov 2009

K UALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – The Malaysian government has refused to release 10,000 Bibles confiscated for using the word "Allah" to refer to God, a banned translation in Christian texts in this Muslim-majority country, an official said Wednesday.

An official from the Home Ministry's publications unit said the government rejected pleas by church officials to allow the Bibles, imported from Indonesia, into the country. Christians say the Muslim Malay-dominated government is violating their right to practice their religion freely.
Such religious disputes are undermining Malaysia's reputation as a harmonious multiethnic, moderate Muslim nation. About 30 percent of the country's 28 million people practice Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism or other faiths.
A Home Ministry official said the government told the importer last month to return the Indonesian-language Bibles, which are still with customs.
"Actually the publications, the Bibles are already banned," said the official, refusing to elaborate. He declined to be named because he is not authorized to make public statements.
The Bibles contain the word "Allah," which is banned by the government for use by non-Muslims in an apparent bid to appease Muslims.
Church officials say the word "Allah" has been used for centuries to refer generally to God in both Indonesian and Malaysian languages, which are similar. The Roman Catholic Church is challenging the ban in court.
The government maintains that the Arabic-origin word "Allah" is an Islamic word and its use by Christians and others will upset Muslims.
Another 5,100 Bibles, also imported from Indonesia, were confiscated in March and have not been released. But the ministry official did not immediately have any information on those.
The Christian Federation of Malaysia, which had called for the release of all Bibles, described the seizure as "ridiculous and offensive."
"This constitutional right (to practice freely) is rendered illusory if Christians in Malaysia are denied access to Bibles in a language with which they are familiar," the federation's chairman Bishop Ng Moon Hing said in a statement.
He also rejected concerns that Bibles in the Malaysian language, or Bahasa Malaysia, containing "Allah," will upset Muslims.
"Bibles in Bahasa Malaysia have been used since before the independence of our country and have never been the cause of any public disorder," he said. Malaysia gained independence in 1957.

Think carefully Before Amending Article 161a

By All Means...We Will Preserve Article 161A

Since last week so much has been discussed about article 161a of the Federal constitution which touch on the defination of native of Sarawak. It was started when Marina a student of SMK Simanggang whose father was Iban and mother a Chinese failed to continue her study in Matriculation and UiTM . Her plight was highlighted in the local newspaper and one of a popular portal, the  Malaysian Mirror.

Article 161a(6) The Native of Sarawak

In this Article "native" means-

(a) in relation. to Sarawak, a person who is a citizen and either belongs to one of the races specified in Clause (7) as indigenous to the State or is of mixed blood deriving exclusively from those races; and
(b) The races to be treated for the purposes of the definition of "native" in Clause (6) as indigenous to Sarawak are the Bukitans, Bisayahs, Dusuns, Sea Dayaks, Land Dayaks, Kadayans, Kalabit, Kayans, Kenyags (Including Sabups and Sipengs), Kajangs (including Sekapans,. Kejamans, Lahanans, Punans, Tanjongs dan Kanowits), Lugats, Lisums, Malays, Melanos, Muruts, Penans, Sians, Tagals, Tabuns and Ukits.

Based on the above defination, a person only can be categorised as native if  both of the parents are from the indigenous as describe in paragraph (b) above.

Marina is not a Native

Based on the defination of the native above, the Ministry of Higher learning was correct in rejecting Marina application for enrolment to Matriculation program and UiTM as she was not a bumiputera or native. The Ministers should not blame the officer that rejected her application.

Articles 161A means to protect the native

Article 161A, just like the 18 Points Agreement for Sarawak in the formation of Malaysia, its main purpose is to protect the native from losing their identities and the  rights/privileges which the native entitles to as provided by article 153 of the Federal Constitution. If we look at the Federal Constitution, our past leaders were far more farsighted and intelligent than our current leaders. Compared to the later, our current leaders only know how to betray us. One example is how they supported  Tok Uban and his cronies to amend the land Code  , and the abolishment of the word Sea Dayak/Land Dayak from Sarawak constituition. And because of their stupidity, I am not surprised that one day we, the Iban and Bidayuh will lose our previlieges as a native of the Malaysian Federation.

Sarawak Ministers Not Aware About Article 161A.

Most of the assemblymen and ministers from Sarawak, based on their response to Marina problem were not awared about Article 161A. The native ministers and Assemblymen, whose children are affected by the article 161A  are Joseph Salang, James Jemut Masing, Harden Hollis, Taib Mahmud and many more. Joseph Salang according to the newspaper report this morning, had indicated that he will write a letter to Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Muhyiddin Yassin to amend article 161A immediately. You see how selfish this Deputy Minister was?

Lesson Learned.....Please preserve Article 161A

As Conclusion DO NOT AMEND ARTICLE 161A to Protect the Native

Marina and the rest of the children from the  mixed marriages between the native and non-indigenous of Sarawak should acted  as a point lesson for the native of Sarawak. Most of the educated natives nowadays prefer to marry a non-native, especially the  "white girl" and also the Chinese. Without article 161A, we will definitely lose our identity , and the most  dangerous thing  the native will be manipulated by the people mentioned above.
To the dayak leaders who had shown their concerns on article 161A, should now concenrate  on  more important matters that affected the dayak such as the NCR land, the equal treatment/development between west Malaysian Malay and the native and so on.

Yahaya claimed trial to the two charges of misleading Abdul Karim into giving him RM50,000 for a planned Pakatan celebration and using fake documents to open a bank account for PKR.
The court fixed bail at RM10,000 and set the trial from April 19 to 23

Muhyiddin Yassin The Racist DPM

NOV 1 2009

FART YOU MUHYIDDIN...Racist DPM On Earth!

Muhyiddin Yassin, Malaysian deputy chairman, has lately been playing the racist card to the hilt. In his speech at the opening of the Seri Gading Umno division meeting in early August, Muhyiddin, according to The Star (11 August 2009) made some comments about Anwar Ibrahim.

The Star reported that “Anwar’s lawyer later had submitted a notice demanding Muhyiddin and Utusan Malaysia, which printed the report, to issue an apology or face a RM100mil libel suit from the former deputy prime minister.”
The Star also reported on the same day that Muhyiddin had the day before warned that there are certain individuals among the Malays who would sacrifice their own race for political expediency.
The leading headline on page N8 of the English language daily was: “DPM slams Malay traitors”.
The paper reported that “Muhyiddin, who is also Umno deputy president, said these people would stoop to any level in trying to achieve their political ambitions”.
“He said, in the 52 years Umno had been leading the nation, the party had never forsaken the interest of the Malays but in fact had always and would continue to champion them,” the report added.
“It has become my responsibility,” Muhyiddin was reported to have said, “to oppose these individuals who are only after their own political interests at all costs.
“I cannot imagine how our country will be if we (Barisan Nasional and Umno) are no longer in power after the general election,” he said when opening the 11th annual general meeting in Kuala Lumpur of Perdasama, an association for Malay businessmen.
The Star report continued: “Muhyiddin added that what was also more worrying now was that there are some non-Malay quarters who were openly questioning Malay rights and privileges.
“And what was even more disappointing,” he said, “was that there was a small number of Malays who were acting as a thorn in the flesh”.
According to The Star report, “He urged the Malays to be firmly united against these traitors as they were obstacles to the progress of the Malays.”

WHY NOW?

Well, well, what is one to make of Muhyiddin’s outburst against “Malay traitors”? And, equally important, why the outburst now?
Is his frankly racist outburst an indication that Umno is desperately trying to regain Malay support, whatever the means, perhaps encouraged by Umno’s good result at the recent Manek Urai by-election, although it didn’t win?
Or does it tell us something more about Umno in general and Muhyiddin in particular perhaps — that behind the facade of current Umno unity and purposefulness, there are undercurrents of discord fuelled by certain unhappiness and rival ambitions?
Or that perhaps Muhyiddin and his people within Umno are positioning themselves for the post-Najib era? Maybe like what Najib and his people have done successfully to curtail and shorten Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s term of power, there are already plans afoot by some people within Umno to do likewise against the Najib regime?
Perhaps all the above speculation doesn’t really hold much water? But then how does one explain Muhyiddin’s immature and even irresponsible racist attack?
Has he become merely Najib’s hatchet man then, content to do Umno’s dirty political street-fighting, some senior figure sad and tragic who reminds us of the late Ghafar Baba, who was ever ready and willing to do Dr Mahathir’s bidding so long as he was fed a constant diet of political flattery?
Has Najib Razak, as prime minister, Umno president and Barisan Nasional head, approved of Muhyiddin’s outburst? After all he has been rather busy of late in telling the police to go after some Opposition figures for alleged sedition.
Or is it the same old, tired, sad tale of double standards?

ONN JAAFAR’S VISION

Talking about “Malay traitors”, do shallow and narrow Umno politicians like Muhyiddin know enough of Umno history to touch on this subject? Is he that ignorant of Umno’s early history not to know that the late Datuk Onn Jaafar, the founder-president of Umno, did a very far-sighted and courageous thing that at the time caused him to be branded by some in Umno as a “traitor to the Malays”?
Just about three years after the establishment of Umno in 1946, Onn and some other Umno leaders started to question the narrow Malay nationalism and racial exclusiveness of the party. Onn was desirous of a Malayan nationalism derived from the various races of the country.
He didn’t stop with wanting non-Malays to become associate members of Umno. At the 12th General Assembly of Umno in Butterworth on 27 August 1949, in his presidential speech he said that the Malays must accept as nationals peoples of other races who were prepared to give their all to Malaya.
A single nationality was essential if “we are to achieve self-government and independence in Malaya”, he said.
It was Onn again who worked hard and long, motivated by his deep beliefs and principles to have Umno accept the controversial citizenship recommendations of the Communities Liaison Committee. He urged that they be adopted at an emergency session of the Umno General Assembly which was held in Kuala Lumpur during the second week of June 1950. Many of the delegates were hostile to the proposals, and some even branded Onn a “traitor to the Malays and the country”.
But Onn was undeterred. To force the issue, he resigned as Umno president; he also announced the resignation of the entire executive council. He was persuaded to withdraw his resignation, however.
A month later, the Umno Assembly at its annual session in Kuala Kangsar re-elected Onn as Umno president by 66 votes to 3; it also approved the citizenship proposals which it had rejected earlier.
Again this man of political courage and vision did not stop there. Driven by his deep sense of Malayan nationalism rather than narrow Malay chauvinism, Onn then advocated that Umno should open its doors to non-Malays with equal membership rights and privileges. He maintained that Umno had to be turned into a national organisation and not remain merely as an organisation of the Malays.
He reported in the then The Straits Times of 21 November 1950 as saying, “Merely opening the door to associate members is not enough. This must be a national body and non-Malay members should be offered all the rights and privileges of the organisation.” Onn in fact wanted Umno to be renamed as the United Malayan National Organisation.
Alas, he was about 60 years ahead of his time. He realised that his proposals faced substantial opposition from the divisions, but he went ahead with his plans. He resigned from Umno on 1 July 1951. On 26 August, he tendered formally his resignation from Umno at the party’s general assembly. And so it was that the founding father of Umno and Umno parted ways.
Compared to Umno leaders of today, Onn was a great visionary. He paid a heavy price for his political convictions and courage. As a matter of fact, he was the First Malayan, and the First Malaysian.
Fan Yew Teng takes issue with Muhyiddin’s recent outburst; what a stark contrast to Umno founder Onn Jaafar, who was more inclusive and open, he observes. Indeed, Fathol Zaman Bukhari recalls with nostalgia an era when things were so different.

1 MALAYSIA BETRAYED

Petty politicians like Muhyiddin Yassin and most of today’s Umno leaders are political midgets compared to the political giant that was Onn, who dared to transcend the narrow confines of racial politics to try and forge a multiracial nation.
Datuk Onn, father of Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia’s third prime minister, and grandfather of Hishamuddin Hussein, home minister and Umno vice president, far from betraying the Malays, dreamed of a just and equal society for all regardless of race, culture and religion.
Doesn’t Hishamuddin agree? Or is he satisfied with a subservient and opportunistic role as mere cheerleader for the hateful and shameless garbage churned out by the likes of Muhyiddin about racial “traitors”?
Whether Najib frowns on the immature hysteria of Muhyiddin or not, he must surely realise one important thing: Muhyiddin’s racist outburst is a great embarrassment for Najib’s own 1 Malaysia concept. Racial baiting at its worst, Muhyiddin’s over-simplified message is surely against everything that the 1 Malaysia concept is supposed to stand for.
1 Malaysia is being hyped as the promotion of national unity based on the integration of all Malaysians of different races. But how can that be achieved when some people like Muhyiddin Yassin, a deputy prime minister and deputy president of Umno no less, finds it convenient and expedient to harp, almost on a daily and relentless basis, on race, “traitors” to some race and, by extension, racial heroes?
Does Hishamuddin seriously think that his grandfather was a traitor to the Malays? If he doesn’t would he have the courage and backbone to tell Muhyiddin to shut up and hang his head in shame?
And what has Najib done about the shocking political immaturity of Muhyiddin? Just playing dead to the issue? After all, what his deputy uttered so irresponsibly has betrayed the 1 Malaysia concept for what it is: A veritable facade and a farce. — Aliran

Awang Tengah Sarawak minister under fire

Sunday, 01 November 2009

Awang Tengah Under Attack

KUCHING – State Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Awang Tengah Ali Hassan came under heavy criticism from opposition politicians and activists for asking the Auditor General to amend its Annual Report for 2008.
The part of the report which the minister took exception to was the one citing Sarawak along with Kelantan, Pahang and Johor as having poor forest management that led to river pollution, erosion, landslides and destruction of flora and fauna.
The report which also mentioned illegal logging, logging in forest reserves or national parks and poor enforcement as some of the factors responsible has made the Awang Tengah very unhappy.
He then demanded that the report be corrected.

Act of intimidation

Batu Lintang DAP state assemblyman Voon Lee Shan (right) said that reports should be lodged to the police and MACC against the minister for trying to influence the Auditor General to alter xertain parts of his document.
“This is an abuse of power and intimidation against the Auditor General. Reports against the minister should be made to the police and MACC,” he said, pointing out that the AG’s report was based on the principle of authority and accountability. The AG, he said, should be firm and should not be influenced by any quarter.
Padungan PKR state rep Dominique Ng accused Awang Tengah of trying to fiddle with the report.
The AG, he said, has certain procedures and guidelines to follow.
“Unless the Sarawak Government is saying that the reports are without any basis and are wrong, then the minister is questioning the credibility of the AG.
“The Sarawak Government should spend time and effort to find out the truth instead of being in a denial mode. Didn’t they also deny the Penan rape cases?
“They are only trying to cover up wrongdoing,” Ng stressed.
Harrison Ngau, chairman of Sarawak Indigenous Lawyers Alliance (SILA), said that Awang Tengah should not attempt to question let alone dictate how the AG which is an independent body carries out his work.
“If Awang Tengah wants the AG to change or amend its reports on the subject of forest management in Sarawak, other parties such as the native communities who live within or around the logging areas would also want their views to be included in the AG reports.

Why no EIA?

“I would also want to suggest to the AG to look into the reasons why environmental impact assessment study on loggings in Sarawak as required under the Natural Resources and Environment Ordinance was never carried out by logging companies in the state?
“I wish also to challenge Awang Tengah to furnish to the AG copies of all the areas in Sarawak which have been licensed out for logging since 1981 and to reveal the names of the companies granted the licences.
“He should disclose all these to the AG to enable him to also study and annex the maps and the names of the companies in the AG reports so that the public can also make their assessment and give their views to the AG concerning the management of our forest in Sarawak.
“If Awang Tengah is so confident that AG was wrong in concluding that the management of our forests is poor, he should therefore have the courage to disclose all these,” Harrison said.
Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (Sadia) secretary-general Nicholas Mujah called on MACC to investigate Awang Tengah as there seems to be fishy elements on his call on the AG to amend his report.
“MACC must look into Awang Tengah’s motive,” he said.
Awang Tengah, now considered the most powerful minister after Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud, demanded the Auditor General to make correction with regards to its reports on Sarawak’s sustainable forest management.According to the minister, it was misleading and incorrect.

Make necessary correction

“The Auditor General has to make the correction for fear that outsiders may use the report to tarnish the image of the state,” he said, adding that the final report was based on their (AG’s) own interpretation and not based on the reports, findings and comments from the Forest Department.
“If they want the interest and image of the state not to be affected internationally, they should make the necessary correction,” he said.
He said that the National Audit Department had actually requested for comments from the various departments before the AG made the final report.
“But in the final report they simply set aside whatever comments that we have gathered. The Forest Department was even not consulted when the final report was published.
“We do not question their competency on financial management such as how projects are implemented as that is their expertise. But to comment on certain things like sustainable forest management, I don’t think they have the expertise. They cannot come to the conclusion based on their own observation. For instance just because the water is muddy they blame it on illegal logging and pollution. You can’t make that kind of conclusion,” Awang Tengah had retorted.
“If they have the expertise to make the comment, it is okay, but I believe they don’t have it,” he said, pointing out that Sarawak had been practising sustainable forest management since the formation of the Forest Department and had been credited by international organisations, ITTO, and the United Nations.

Penan's Deception Plan to Get Their Memorandum Reaching Taib and Jabu

31th Oct 2009

KUCHING – The Penans have learnt from the mistakes of the past and are taking the hackers’ approach.

With a little social engineering, they outwitted the security guards and officials at Wisma Bapa Malaysia to achieve what they came for – hand over a memorandum protesting against the building of dams in the Sarawak interior.
“We tricked the security guards and officials by telling them we had a letter for the chief minister and his deputy,” said Penan representative Philip Jau on Friday.

Stealth in small group

“There were four of us only instead of a large group, and we managed to deliver the memorandum to the officials, although Taib (CM Abdul Taib Mahmud) and Jabu (DCM Alfred Jabu) were not in.”
Jau was accompanied by three Penan leaders.

“We have learnt a lesson from our last attempt to hand over the memorandum,” he said, adding that 10 others were waiting away from Wisma Bapa Malaysia. On Sept 16, the same group of 14 Penans wanted to send the same memorandum to Taib and Jabu but they refused to see them. The 14 were instead arrested by the police on grounds of illegal assembly in front of Wisma Bapa Malaysia.

600 voices of dissent

Tua Kampung Madai Saluk of Long Luar, Belaga, told reporters on Friday that the 62-page memorandum contained about 600 signatures from 18 longhouses expressing opposition to the construction of dams in Baram and Murum in Belaga.
“You (the state) drown our land, our properties and longhouses and want us to move out, but to where? This is really disempowering us,” he said.
He cited the Batang Ai and Asap examples as mass relocations gone wrong.
“We have seen how the people especially in Asap suffer. Many of them have returned to their original longhouses as they can no longer bear the miseries and hardships in the new settlements.”
“We do not want to suffer like them.”

More to lose than gain

In the memorandum to the chief minister, the Penans expressed concern that the Murum dam would create social unrest and threaten their way of life apart from destroying whatever they hold dear in the land of their birth.
“For us along Sungai Peleiran-Murum, we will not be spared the impact of the dam if the government proceeds with its construction. Because of its damaging impact, we the Penans from these areas in one voice urge the government to cease immediately the construction of the Murum dam.
“We also appeal to the government not to force us to move out from our land and settle in areas far from our ancestral land,” the Penans added - Malaysianmirror, Joseph Tawie

The Best Way For Daniel and Marina to get their Bumiputera status is to Convert to Islam

Saturday, 31 October 2009 04:16

Sorry Daniel...Semi-native is not bumiputera!

KUCHING – Another family in the same boat as Marina Undau has spoken up about the plight of mixed parentage students.
Ding Juh said his son - Daniel Ibau - was a Science stream student and had scored 10As and 1B in the SPM examination last year. But he failed to get into the Labuan Matriculation College despite being “one of the top students of SMK Wira Penrissen in Kota Samarahan.”

“Out of nine applications from the school, only my son’s was rejected,” said Ding Juh.
Ding Juh said he had appealed to the Education Ministry in the hope it would reconsider its decision.

Plea for all in same boat

The father of three said he was worried for the future of his offspring who are facing big hurdles in gaining access to higher education as a result of being “locked out” of bumiputra membership.
“We are not rich and can’t afford to send our children to private colleges.
“My plea is not just for my son, but also for the others who are in the same situation as he is. We are Malaysians. How can the government talk about achieving unity when we have to go through obstacles to provide education for our kids?
Ding Juh and his son spoke to Malaysian Mirror on Friday after Marina’s case was highlighted in the news portal. The story originally appeared in Borneo Post.

Point of reference

Earlier this week, schoolgirl Marina Undau who has an Iban father and a Chinese mother was informed by the education department that she could not be admitted to a matriculation course because she was not a bumiputra.
Both Marina and Daniel are struggling against the full weight of the Federal Constitution, which spells out the state of affairs for Sarawakians: “If the father and mother is a native of Sarawak as defined under Article 161A(6)(b) of the Federal Constitution, the child is considered a bumiputra.”

In other words, both parents must be natives to qualify.

Daniel understands the Constitution’s viewpoint.
But he wonders why he could still continue to buy the Amanah Saham Bumiputra if he was not a bumiputra.
Could it be that a Kayan is a bumiputra in one set of circumstances but a non-bumiputra in another? Mr Spock of Star Trek fame would see this as “illogical.”
Such hazy interpretation and execution of the laws has naturally led to a section of the citizenry feeling shortchanged and a gnawing sense that the authorities are toying with their future.

Sorry, no go

Daniel’s application to UiTM to pursue a civil engineering diploma course is still up in the air as the institution has yet to reply.

Like Marina, Daniel sees his only recourse now to minimise costs is to proceed with Form Six and eventually hit the university trail two years later.
“As the eldest, I feel it is my responsibility to pave the way and set a good example for my siblings,” said the SMK Tapang Sixth-Former.
“I will do my best in any way I can and wherever I might get the chance to pursue my studies in the near future.”
Daniel said it had been an ordeal for his family in trying to get him recognised as a bumiputra so that he could reap the benefits from it.

The effort has so far been in vain.

“We have tried everything from lengthy e-mails, facsimiles and calling the ministry repeatedly but to no avail. After a month, the only answer we got was ‘Sorry, your application is not approved.’”

Bukittunggal

In order to get the bumiputera status, both of the pupils must convert to Islam. This is the reality of Najib's 1Malaysia Slogan!
Therefore Sarawakian...throw your Vote to BN/Najib and I am not surprised that Native will not be considered as bumiputera unless you are muslim....1MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian authorities have seized some 15,000 bibles imported from Indonesia because they use the word "Allah" as a translation for God which is banned here, a church leader said Thursday.
"The church uses the bible and it is part of the worshipper's life. There is no reason why it should be confiscated," said Reverend Hermen Shastri (left), general secretary of the Council of Churches of Malaysia.

"The bibles are used in the church," he said, dismissing suggestions by Islamic officials that they could be used to help convert Muslims who make up some 60 percent of the 27 million population.
Shastri said the latest confiscation happened in September when airport authorities in Sarawak seized 10,000 copies of the Indonesian-language bibles which feature the disputed word "Allah".
Another 5,000 copies were confiscated in March, he said.
"The reason given for the detention of the Scriptures was because they contain banned words," he said.

Two-year legal battle

The Catholic Church has waged a two-year legal battle with Malaysian authorities over the use of the word "Allah" as a translation for "God" in its newspaper published here.
The Herald newspaper, circulated among the country's 850,000 Catholics, nearly lost its publishing licence last year for using the disputed word in its Malay-language edition.
The government has argued that the word "Allah" should be used only by Muslims, who dominate the population of multicultural Malaysia.
The row is one of a string of religious disputes that have erupted in recent years, straining relations between Muslim Malays and minority ethnic Chinese and Indians who fear the country is being "Islamised".
Shastri said there was no reason to seize the bibles because the use of the word "Allah" predates Islam.
"The word is not sensitive in Indonesia and the Christians use it in the Middle East. It is mainly driven by other motives ... (to project) the dominance of Islam in Malaysia," he said.
Officials at the Home Ministry, which Shastri said was involved in the seizure, were not immediately available for comment. - AFP

Religion is one of the important point being considered by our forefather from Sabah and Sarawak before they agreed to join Malaya and Singapore to form Malaysia. That why the first point of the agreement was about religion. According to the agreement :

Point 1: Religion

While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo.

The agreement explicitly mentioned that there should be no state religion for North Borneo (to include Sarawak as stated in it 18 Agreement) I guessed. As for the bible confiscated in Kuching Airport, they  were brought-in and to be used in the churches throughout Sarawak. Ministry of Internal Affair should return the bible to the church to avoid any religious crisis in the state. In the past, without the interference from the peninsular, the Christianity majority and muslims followers in sarawak have been living together in harmony.

To Malaya, Get your hand-off Sarawak!
